If allies are needed for the main quest and if they run into your sword all the time ( i know the problem ) and they attack you, you just beat em K.O. Ehh i dont think i said that very well, but nevermind...I wanna play...must play...must live...must feed... i think im addicted.

(played about 50 hours sofar and still enjoying it very much, level 22 now in about full deadric but I got bitten by a vampire .... hard to get back to normal...

i'm still level 1, still hanging out in chorrol. doing the quest for the lady of the city(who stole her painting) and guess what: i'm stuck.

Edit: its so easy to increase your alchemy, if i would have know that it would have been a major skill!

at first alchemy is very easy, later on its hard to get more lvls, in other words: more lvls at hte beginning, less at the end...
Btw every time you use a skill and lvl in it, the coverning attribute (or something) will get a + point at levelling more (at a max of 5) so if you are a warrior, it really doesnt have much effect choosing that as major (like i did )

i've made my own class (dont gonna say the name cause its a stupid name) wich combines magic with combat (destruction, mysticism, alteration, block, blade, marksman and restoration)

what i'm wondering: is there a merchant somewhere who sells infinite steel arrows(or better) with infinite i mean you buy of the arrows, wait a bit and they have again so much arrows(hope its clear enough)

What do you mean?

Am thinking of how to create my paladin (since I won't be as Lawfull as a paladin, it might be a bad name, but it reflects what kind of skills I want). OK, I know six skills I want: Blade, Block, Heavy Armor, Persuation, Restoration and Alternation (in order to open locks...). Now, that's six skills (for those of you who can't count ), so I need another. Think that the caracter is to resemble a paladin (even though I won't be especially paladinlike in my playstyle ). Preferrablly a mageschool. Was thinking conjugation in order to be able to turn undead, but getting a main skill just for one spell feels a bit... unecsesary...

Anyone here playing it on a NON-XP machine. Windows 2 k for example?

I was going to bite the bullet (or is that the 'arrow') and buy it, but it's win xp only on the back!!! ARGGHHHHH...

And I can't buy it and try it cos you can't return PC games in this kip of a country!

@Übereil i would also choose conjuration for the undead spells

and the divine one means that if you gain 10 levels in block you would gain +10 to agility when you level up(if you choose to boost agility cause you can only boost 3 stats on each level-up) but the maximum is +5 so that would not be so effective.
but say you get +5 block and +5 blade you get +5 to agility and +5 to strength when you level up.

i hope it's a little clearer now. did you play morrowind? its the same system?

But if I get +5 blade and +5 alcemy I don't get *5 int? (Besides block is based on endurance ).

nope you wont

btw, destruction and marksman are really cool but marksman only in combination with sneak, so i should take destruction...

isorun check the dinning room area for the one of the 2 clues

also its a bit harder to get your +5 on your level on all 3 skills
i think they changed it too if you level up your next skills don't continue to add to it but add to your next level plus there are only 2 skills that govern strength i guess if its harder then its more fun

also for those that are looking for supplies remember that any icon thats white means its legal

so you can take all the unlocked stuff in the fighters guilds and mages guilds
i know it sounds bad but just think about it, they done out with the supply chest that they use to have in morrowine, instead you can choose your supplies from whats ever inside the guild, in the real fake world they don't assume you'll be selfish and take everything, even if you do most of its iron made good for starters and some small cash, and the mages stuff novice equipment

also if you see people shooting arrows at practice targets take their arrows, you will notice they will continue to shoot an infinite supply

im playing the imperial knight, that doesn't mean i have to play lawful good
just chaotic good :P

(Besides block is based on endurance ).

No it aint. at least not in oblivion. i got the manual right in front of me(ofcours the manual can be wrong)

@virgo: i completed the quest. i did it in first place to be able to buy a house, but the countess still wont sell me one should i go to the arena so i get some fame?

Edit: i have a freaking problem with books: i accedently make one fall in the mages guild, and when i try to put it back another 4 fall! At the end there were like 50 books lying on the ground. the maid will enjoy that!

OK, I can put this pipe dream of running the game to rest now I think.

Not only is it XP only, it's also Geforce FX unfriendly...

Here's a snippet from the offical forum!

'All GeForce FX series (5200-5950) cards run this game like crap. FPS is lower than 10 even with everything on lowest settings.
If you are going to get Oblivion and have GeForce FX series card you have to buy new GFX-card to run this game playable. No driver update will make this game playable because GeForce FX series hardware SM 2.0 implementation is poor and slow.'

Of course, I'm telling people who are playing and enjoying the game!! So I'm just going to boot up Morrowind and walk my character into the ocean...goodbye all...sniff!!
