Could you give a little information about certain classes? And what is different with the classes the game includes?

Thanks for posting the link to your mod. Is modding fun?

I have 4 characters that I play. I have gone the custom class route on all of them. Skills that are the most important to my character I never name as major skills (with the exception of Restoration which levels slowly). This enables me to control the levelling so that the toon gets +5 to attributes, and adequate skill progression before levelling.

Actually the question was pointed to MysterD on his mod.
But now that you mention it, when do you know you have +5 on the atributes you want? Not that i will do what you do, to time consuming in an online game i would to it, but not in a single player game that on top of all is super easy without having a "uber" character <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Altough i would of liked seing the game more difficult its just TO easy

most of the classes in MysterDs mod are explained in one of the previous pages of this thread.

you get +5 bonusses by having increased certain skills. Like increasing your destruction 10 levels will give you a +5 bonus to willpower. But you can spread the 10 levels over the various skills:increasing your alteration by 2, destruction by 4 and restoration by 4 also has a +5 to willpower, cause they represent willpower and in total they have been increased 10 times.

Skill Diary
This mod will help you track your skills so that you can micromanage them to get +5 to attributes when you level. If you level skills governed by a particular attribute 10 times, you can get a +5 increase.

Other mods I use.

Bag of Holding Allows you to carry as much as you want. This plugin adds a bag of holding under misc items. Drop the bag and activate it to store/remove items. Stealth + activate the bag to pick it back up.

To get the bag, type "startquest BOHQuest" in the console (without quotes).
It is a bit awkward to use, but has been very helpful.

Unlimited rings. I can wear 8 rings--so why not my characters?

Just found this one('Answer his Questions'-Morrowind players will know what i'm talking about):

Asking a Skingrad-guard about rumors: 'every day i buy a sweetroll from the baker, and one day these three thugs came to me, so i took the sweetroll...'
(not exactly the same as he said)

yeah it was in the begining when you try to pick your class for morrowind
thats pretty nice <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

i think the rest goes he took the sweetroll and threw it up into the air and beat down the leader as fast as he could...if you choose that response in morrowind

I always took the option: 'step on it and prepare for a fight'
But the classes they chose never fitted me.

Anyone knows how much you earn by defeating creatures in the arena? i'm now almost champion, and did the gray-prince quest, so becoming grand champion will be easy.

What you earn depends on the difficulty of the fight you pick, how long it takes to finish, and whether you have done that fight before--at least as far as I can tell.

well, i've become Grand Champ and have fought one Ogre for 490 Gold +the Ogre's teeth. It aint much but i can live with it, but the bloodworks is rather empty now: Grand Champ death, Yellow Champ death, it's only the Blue Team's Gladiator who keeps training.

I'm going for Arch-Mage now, but currently i'm stilly busy with my mage's staff so it will take a while.
In the Dark Brotherhood i'm Silencer and just do the quests when i'm in town.
(don't like the system of getting your assigment in this city, go kill someone in that city, get your next assignement in another city, go kill someon in yet another city ...)

Patching first ???

Perhaps you should take a look sat Rendelius' Review at RPGDot. He lists there the extensions (addons), he uses, too.

Regarding extensions ... Maybe some of the guys here can point you towards good ones. I mean some they've used, and found good.

Have fun! Don't level without having levelled up the skills you will be using in combat. Wander around and enjoy. Do the main quest if it suits you. Save often.

Ditto to Cleglaw's comments.

You don't have to be bullied by the supposed "urgency" of the main quest. You can take as much time as you like to work your way up to being the head of this or that organisation before you tackle the main quest. Or not. It's up to you.

The levelling thing is worth thinking about too. The monsters level up as you do, so if you're levelling up inefficiently then your character can effectively be getting worse not better as you level up.

So take care with the skills that you choose as Majors, as these will control when and how fast you level up. If you pick unwisely you can end up with a character that levels often simply because you're running a lot or healing yourself a lot, or whatever. Try to pick Major skills that will improve you in a useful way (which usually means your combat ability).

When you get to the end of the initial 'training' dungeon and see a grid that you have to open before you go into the outside world - SAVE before opening the grid. And keep that save aside somewhere. At that point you can edit every aspect of your character -including the name. Handy when you want to try out new character builds.

I only used one mod - which made the water clearer. Very hard to see underwater without it.

Enjoy! Brilliant game.
