Playing three new characters parallel...

As for who is starting close to Ironforge - Dwarves and Gnomes have the same start region in Dun Morogh. Though with Humans you wouldn't have to much of a problem either - there is a (free) subway from Stormwind to Ironforge. Those two cities can be visited very early without problem.

What Characters are you playing? I need some ideas. I would like to create some, fighter and some mage.

I have a dwarven fighter with engineering skill, but mainly only for the latter - I personally am not much into the melee classes.

As to mage - yeah!; or warlock - am playing both with pleasure.

The mage is the greater damage dealer, both are fragile in having only cloth armour.

Ultimately, as personal preference, I tend towards the warlock. One reason being he gets his riding animal at level 40 as a quest reward, and not for an abundance of money (so does the paladin, btw). Also his conjured pets are a great support during soloing, respectively increase damage output in a party.

I have undertaken to acquire armous sets from leatherworking guys (or the auction house) to enhance the cloth armour - and I would recommend looking into the enchanting skill, as it allows to further enhance armour worn.

As second profession either tailoring (though for other than making bags, it's not really worth the effort, since you need the cloth found for first aid skill, which both mage or warlock should be skilled in). The items to be purchased or found are generally better than what you can make yourself. So I would rather pick a 'collecting' profession in order to make money - as money you need constantly to buy spells (for the warlock even more, as you also have to buy spells for the pets). If you go for warlock, you should learn at least one other weapon skill (sword or staff).

I went gnomish mage. He is lvl 13 now. Yes, thanks to his paper armor he is quite difficult in soloing sometimes.
Got him tailoring and enchanting professions and first aid also. Good tip about first aid. Maybe I should stop upping tailoring - its around 100 now and switch to first aid. But, tailoring is nice supplementary profession to enchanting. I tailor the item - disenchant - enchant something else

Gnomes make good pets. They are much too cute. Dorfs are just too nasty.

Shamans are versatile and fun. My shaman has been the main tank in some groups and the healer in others. He is never boring and has a variety of tricks for all different kinds of situations.

First Aid is secondary, so you can have both.

Pets? What pets? What do you mean Cleg?

I can say the same about my druid. Yesterday I was the main tank for the
group And if there are tanks and a healer I can go rogue (cat form) to dish out damage on backstabs. Or become healer, primary or secondary. Or go ranged at last

Yes, you right Marian. But, I mean, at least now, both tailoring and first aid require the same resource - linen. So I have to decide, which prof to lvl as my linen supply depends on monster drops I hunt mostly

On versatility I prefer the Druid over the Shaman - though the resurrection skill of the druid is a joke (once every 30 min is really impractical).

On First Aid - that is a skill I would actually teach any character, as even if you do not need it because you can heal, the bandages sell well, thus are a money resource that would otherwise be wasted by having to sell the raw cloth found.

Glance, the 30 min timer sucks of course, but still don't underestimate it.
As I know only druids can res during a fight. Just press the button and get your mate back and ready right in the middle of action. Yes, you are not rezzer by default, by your class, but you can rezz once, in extreme circumstances, and this is what I love about being a druid

As for first aid, this is a field yet to discover. I don't need it being a druid, I barely need it being a pala too. The mage will learn it some time soon, as he really needs self heals during the fight.

Btw, yesterday I have joined a guild Enchanted is the name. They say it is one of the oldest in WoW.

Hmm - be warned; 1staid healing during fight, while not impossible, is awkward, as it is funnelled, and thus interrupted easily. So at least make sure you have immobilized any opponents in the interim.

Anybody ever tried the Warlock? (my current project)

Don't you think that any critter that is so small and cutesy pie would make a good pet?

OMG Cleg, ROFL I understand now Actually, then, we need a new class - A mistress let it look as warlock's demoness She could have little gnomes as slaves Creepy.

I agree gnomes are very very cute. And my gnome became even cuter after I got a chicken companion for him

PS. If anyone is interested in getting his own chicken pet and don't know how to do that - let me know

Today we will all have Battle Grounds
I need to lvl up faster

My druid is lvl 42 now.

Planning to become tribal leatherworker and while saving every copper for mount I try to do Wild Leather Quest series. This is one of the more useleff, insane quests I saw. You have to farm for around 180 turtle scales and thick leather just to give it all to vendor to complete the quest. (I am now if the final part of it where I have to get some Helm and Bracers and something else)

As for my mage - he is lvl 18 atm.

So, if anyone interested, welcome to Hellscream server.

The europe realms are down thanks to a case of overheating though!
I hope they will get them back online soon! And maybe give another extra rested lvl

WOW Plague

Now most rpg have the "disease curse". But let's be honest most of us don't use it because it doesn't do that much damage or the infection rate is slow. I for one am glad WOW got the guts to create a decent "disease curse".

Quote
Blizzard adds in a new instance, Zul'Gurub. Inside is the god of blood, Hakkar. Well, when you fight him he has a debuff called Corrputed Blood. It does like 250-350 damage to players and affects nearby players. The amazing thing is SOME PLAYERS have brought this disease (and it is a disease) back to the towns, outside of the instance. It starts spreading amongst the general population including npcs, who can out generate the damage. Some servers have gotten so bad that you can't go into the major cities without getting the plague (and anyone less than like level 50 nearly immediately die).

GM's even tried quarantining players in certain areas, but the players kept escaping the quarantine and infect other players.

Now maybe it wasn't intentionally, but it shows why MMORPG can (at some points) be better then RPG's. The randomness and evil of 2 million human players is something you don't see in a single player RPG. I still like single player rpg's but realism and unpredictable events like these makes me wonder if in the near future I might go MMORPG .

I hope that they just don't fix it but incorperate it into a story. Like new players get vacin to ward off the disease and a cure can found by finding the ingredients or in the local shop or alchemist.

Never heard of this disease before. I'll try to get it today and go and infect AH NPC's and bankers in IF and SW. That will bring an end to Alliance!
