After struggling through the first 3 acts, I decided to quit at the very beginning 0f act4. It was soooooooooo boring and tiring an experience that I am totally exhausted by it's non-originality, non-beauty. Phew, I'm free now. I acturally HATE this game.

When i really hate a game i do not play the three quarters of it.
I just stop nearly at the beginning.

Congratulations for having played 3 acts of Beyond Divinity.
You gave up at the beginning of act 4, it's too sad.
Act 4 is the best one.

you never know how bad it can be without a rough going-thru, while, this game is far worse than i have expected. the good thing is, i don't have to play a second time so that my time is spared.

I guess that Larian should release two Divinity 2 games.

One game dedicated to the gamers who loved Beyond Divinity.
And a different game for the gamers who hated Beyond Divinity.

Its a pity there are copy protection laws....

If we didnt have to worry about that, we could just rename Diablo2 for the people who hated BD

Personally i would go for the first option

Oh, yeah, Larian sure can consider that. Good point.
But why won't you say Larian should release ONE Divinity 2 game dedicated to the gamers who loved DD?

You know why Diablo 2 is still in after kinda 10 years? There must be a reason, and this reason makes BD a far worse game. I would say DD is excellent, but I wouldn't compare DD with Diablo 2, coz there's less in common. But as 4 BD, aha, it's nothing like DD, and that's almost all.

Its been proven "click twitches" never dies!!!! its called mindless killing, the principle that MOST "click twitches" are based on.

Diablo 2 is a click twitch. the only thing it has in common with a RPG is the fact that your char has life, mana, and spells.

So if you like click twitches, dont try RPG's, they too complicated.

It is really amazing that you might think like this. You think you don't need tactics in Diablo? That's definitely not the case. There are mnore similarities between BD and Diablo 2 than there are between DD and BD. Gamers are no fools, and Gamers are best judges. Their choices carry more weight than what the programmers think whatever advantage they have. As for BD, when you have the space bar, it is nothing more than a click twitch when you are in the BF or other battle ground. If you like tactics, maybe Neverwinter Nights is a better choice, way better.

FYI, maybe you already have known of something about the current CG Blizzard released for WOW, that's simply splendid! THAT IS WHAT GAMERS WANT.

DD is a good RPG, but not BD.

So you guy already knew 'tis very personal opinion, but if you think it is a result, just take it or not. When I say gamers, it does not have to be you, just like if I say human, it does not have to be you. Just don't take it too personally. I don't like BD does not mean you have to hate it too, you can choose to love it.

Why could nobody bring out a brilliant idea why BD is good? huh? Compared with Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate, what can we say about BD?

Well just to interject at this point, neither Divine Divinity nor Beyond Divinity Diablo is terribly similar to Diablo II. Beyond Divinity could be viewed as more similar though because it is roughly linear and the battlefield sections do play like Diablo II.

You could easily finish Diablo with no tactics. Diablo II actually made a demand of skill choices but in every iteration of the patch, there were always several abilities which would lay waste to every monster quite easily until the next patch would choose a different skill. A highly addictive game but never felt very satisfying.

The "Gamer" is the best judge of what? Do they have to be a paying customer or just some guy who downloaded it off the internet? And why do they want World of Warcraft specifically? I'm sure I could find many who don't like it like myself. I don't like the cartoonish graphics nor undoubtedly it's awful and nonsensical way of balancing that Blizzard has become accustomed to since Starcraft.

Anyway yeah I'd say Divine Divinity was more fun than Beyond Divinity but once chapter 1 was over in Beyond Divinity, it was entertaining.

maybe the gamers want to not know what they are paying...

because even if i don't have anything against WoW... that's a bit that...
you pay for the game then you pay per month for playing it (i never really understood what was justifying that, sorry, please don't answer the cost of the servers' maintenance and passband because there i laugh...) or at least you will...

seriously... maybe no one has ever said something brilliant for BD... but i don't see anyone who has ever said anything brilliant against either...
this is very an "i hate/ i love" question ... you can try to rationalize it if you want... but i'm sorry i don't know where it is going...

ok there was some threads about "how DD was better than BD" already...
and about how "whatevergameyouwant" was better than BD... yes and even if that's true... and so then?

hmm... it won't change anything for those who have liked better BD... or DD anyway...

ok, catch... you didn't like BD... you have quit it in act 4... free to you...

and so then?

Good point about the cost of WoW... I saw it on sale for $59.95

Pretty expensive for the client side files to log onto the server and sign up for a monthly fee. For $59.95, and a monthly fee, I will pass on the game.

A Prediction: Soon you will be able to buy a MMORPG, log onto the server, sign up for a credit card, sign up for a monthly payment plan, then finally play the game. I am also betting that the credit cards will have close to a 28% interest rate. P.T. Barnum was so right

To me, it's simply one point :

Collecting

In my view, the managers of Blizzard sat down in chairs, round a round table, and asked themselves :

"How can we bind players for the most possible time to a game ?"

There must be strong motives that bind people towards a thing. And one of them is collecting.

Look at real collectors of things - no matter what - how they act towards their collecting, spend money, and are "bound" with (that) collecting.

To me, it's a very strong Motiv.
