Some pepole on this forum has certanly built up the expentations on the first game, yes... (Not just them, I have only heard good things about it, apart from being linear...)

There waas only one (minor) error...

What I mean is! a whole lot of pepole have spoken goodly about SW:KotOR. Really good. Some of them here on this very forum. And of a whole lot of pepole speaks goodly about a game (and allmost no pepole speaks badly about it, and THESE pepole only speak badly about it when they speak goodly about it), I tend to think what prehaps it's a good game... And therefore I buy it (or as in this case whish for it and get as a christmasspresent (I'm fairlly shure I'll get it)), and expect it to be good.

If I didn't misunderstood your previous post completelly, that's what you wrote too? That you expected toe game to be good? Then I told you that I allso expected the game to be good, because a whole lot of pepole sais it's good. DO YOU READ ME???

@ MG =>

I believe Ube is saying MG that the huge success of the first KoTOR has really built up a huge expectation for KoTOR II.
That he has only heard good things about KoTOR except the fact that it is linear.

BTW: How's the little one?

Acually Kyra, I was saying:

Because everyone sais SW:KotOR (the first game) is just the hell of a game, I think SW:KotOR (still the first one) is just the hell of a game. As simple as that. The I allso thought MG was saying the exatlly same thing, but about nowe I realize he was talking about the second one. Maybe that's what made it so hard for him to get what I was talking about. Suprize ! A misunderstanding! Never had one of those before, have we?

I have had KOTOR for PC since May 2004 ($20 at Best Buy), yet I STILL have not installed it.

I need to play that before I even think about KOTOR 2.

@ MysterD =>

It is a great game MysterD.
You should install it and play it.

The only thing you have to take into account is if you have the SP2 update installed for WinXP there is a monster of a memory leak while playing KoTOR.
You will have to reboot your computer from time to time, but other than that you shouldn’t have any problems.

LucasArts & Obsidian assures that this will not be a problem in KoTOR II.

I should also admit I'm still on Win 98 SE.

And my system meets the requirements, except for the processor. My processor is only a Athlon 700 Mhz, so I don't know how well it'll run if I put it in here.

My system: AMD Athlon 700 Mhz, Windows 98 SE, 64 MB RAM GeForce2 MX400 RAM (Using Forceware Driver Version 56.64), DirectX 9.0C, Sound Blaster PCI Card, 40 GB Hard Drive, 10 X DVD-ROM drive (the drive I put the CD for the game in), 52x32x52 Lite-On CD-RW drive.

I think I am basically holding onto it 'til I get a new PC -- but, if I free some HD space up on this PC (I got 3 GB open right now, not enough for KOTOR), so after finishing some games on this aging rig and removing some games, KOTOR might get its turn. And if it runs okay, it'll stay. If not, I can hold onto it til the next rig I buy.

Guess who got an Xbox for christmas?

Yup, that's right, me! This was the first game I got. Simply put, it rocks. The story was very cool. Much more sinister than the first KotOR IMO.

However I won't spoil it for anyone. Playing it through the for the 2nd time now. If I can dislodge my wife from the xbox that is.....

Well, if you buy the English version, you should be able to get it for PC in February, if you order it online.

Also, Guildwars is only $10.00 USD here in America.
That sort of scared me.
For newer games that is usually a sign of a stinky game.

In Sweden I guess GW will cost about $50. All new games cost that much here (KotOR cost more, and it's two years old!).

I know, and I can't do anything about it (exept download it...), since there are only two major stores in town, and they both have the same prizes (coughcartelcough).
