Of course, the reindeer was a candidate for the show "The swann". But after the surgery, she lost the contest. Someone found out she was a he!!!

If anyone is interested:

Who decided December 25th as Jesus' birthdate?
The early Christian church did not celebrate Jesus' birth, and therefore the exact date has not been preserved in festivals. The first recorded mention of December 25th is in the Calendar of Philocalus (354 A.D.) which assumed Jesus' birth to be Friday, December 25, 1 A.D.

December 25th was officially proclaimed by the church fathers in 440 A.D. as a sincretism between the new religion of the Roman Empire and the tradition of the Roman holiday of Saturnalia, observed near the winter solstice, which was among the many pagan traditions inherited from the earlier Babylonian priesthood.

The Star of Bethlehem: The Legacy of the Magi, by: Michael R. Molnar

Could the purchase of an ancient coin have led to an important clue about the Star of Bethlehem? The above illustration is a Roman coin from Antioch, Syria which shows the zodiacal sign, Aries the Ram. In trying to understand the meaning behind this coin, I found that Aries was the sign of the Jews. Realizing that this is where ancient stargazers would have watched for the Star of Bethlehem, I embarked on searching for the celestial event that signified the birth of the Messiah in Judea.

Superposed on the photograph of the coin is what I found: Jupiter underwent two occultations ("eclipses") by the Moon in Aries in 6 BC. Jupiter was the regal "star" that conferred kingships - a power that was amplified when Jupiter was in close conjunctions with the Moon. The second occultation on April 17 coincided precisely when Jupiter was "in the east," a condition mentioned twice in the biblical account about the Star of Bethlehem. In August of that year Jupiter became stationary and then "went before" through Aries where it became stationary again on December 19, 6 BC. This is when the regal planet "stood over." - a secondary royal portent also described in the Bible. In particular, there is confirmation from a Roman astrologer that the conditions of April 17, 6 BC were believed to herald the birth of a divine, immortal, and omnipotent person born under the sign of the Jews, which we now know was Aries the Ram. Furthermore, the coins of Antioch and ancient astrological documents show that there was indeed a Star of Bethlehem as reported in the biblical account of Matthew.

Information taken from:

The Star of Bethlehem: The Legacy of the Magi is published by Rutgers University Press. (ISBN: 0-8135-2701-5) In the book you will see why the star was not a comet or supernova. Nor was it the famous "triple conjunction." The practices and beliefs of astrologers during Herod's reign show why Jupiter and the planets in Aries the Ram on April 17, 6 BC signified a Messianic birth. You will also find confirmation by a Roman astrologer, Firmicus Maternus, that the conditions of that day when Jupiter was in the east were those for the birth of a "divine and immortal" person.

Isn't so that Christmasday just happens to be the 25th of december because of all the previous Christian holidays are exactly 5 or 18 or even 30 away from the previous one? I mean that in example, Easter falls on the 25th of March, so the next holiday (Maria Hemelvaart? Not know in English) falls exactly 20 days or so later? If someone understands this, please help me out because I'm not good in Christian holidays!!

I don't think that's how it works.

Christmas is December 25th becase that is Jesus' birthday (well, it's not really, but that's when we celebrate it).

Easter Sunday is the Sunday on or after the first full moon after March 22nd. The other three Easter days fall around this. Jesus was entombed on what became Good Friday. The full moon was on Sunday. On Monday he arose from death and left his tomb. Easter Dating Method.

I don't know what other Christian or Catholic holidays there are so I can't help more.

In actuality Eastershould be, and I believe once was, tied to the Jewish holiday of Passover. The last supper was a Passover Seder (ceremonial meal). The Hebrew calendaris a lunar one. However, the Christian church did not want to be tied to a Jewish tradition/holiday even though Christ celebrated it and therefore came up with a new way of figuring it.

And for those who want to know more...the Passover is a celebration re-enacting the Passing Over of the Angel of Death / the 10th plague when the Jewish people where held as slaves in Egypt.

I love to hear more about Jewish holidays, I like the one with all the light, Chanouka, it is? And why on earth we do not want to be tied to the Jewish holidaytradition if Jesus was a Jew? Damn those popes!! There is something I don't understand. If Jesus was a Jew, how come the Jews al over the world took the blame of his dead? As far as I know, the romans killed the poor guy and not the Jews, but I may be mistaken.

The early Christ can`t blame the Romans, the Romans was the Leader.
And so they pick out the Jews.

Not really, not really.

But i think for a person who is historical not really knowing that he has exist, Jesus makes a lot of trouble.

Interesting points. IMO the Romans killed christ. Well, its not really in much doubt is it? They nailed him to a cross after all....

This of course is covered up and history duly altered when a Roman emperor adopts christianity around 400AD. Romans kill our lord? What are you talking about? It was those jews! Get 'em!

And the jews have been screwed ever since.

Pontious Pilate sounds like a real jewish name doesn't it? (better than biggus dickus I suppose)

And so the Roman Catholic church was born and the beliefs of christianity have been warped ever since. IMO of course.

You can't blame jesus for being born. He probably wanted none of it. I always liked the way the 'life of brian' made that point. What fools do in his name is another matter however....

Thanks for clearing that up for me, you must be as cuddly as your ava looks
But someone once told me that Pontius Pilatus left the choice over to the crowd. Either the murderer Barrabas or the poor carpenterson Jesus and those people were Jews. Anyway, I still don't know why our Christian symbol has to be the Cross. It's scary and it shows only the saddistic nature of some people. I like the statue of Mother Mary with her child better or the paintings were Jesus heals someone or share his bread with his friends. And another thing I noticed, why do priests and nuns have to be celibate? Jesus himself had visited a whore, Magdalena? Or was she his mistress, I don't care, he was a healty man after all, but still, celibaty these days? No wonder, so many priests touche little boys and girls, and some nuns are really saddistic in their punishingmethods.
If I'm a pain in the a$$, just tell me so!!
btw, what is "IMO" means? Stupid question maybe, but I like to learn!
