Hi:

I'm a level 38 Mage (with very good battle skills ), am currently 'doing some gathering' and have started to notice that in many cases I'm no longer getting rewarded with XP for kills - for instance, low level orcs just die, and if I check, I've gotten 0 XP from them. I still get XP from higher level enemies and quests.

Is this normal? I have the game patched up as well.

Yes, this is normal, but don't worry you’ll be getting plenty more XP in other places when you get there. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Of course this can be reversed - you are getting more XP, when and if ( <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />) you are successful in killing monsters way above your level
