Well guys I've had no luck with anything I've done thus far...

Thanks for the info. I went to find updated drivers for my motherboard and the only ones available are for windows 2k and xp. It seems that if I want this to work I may have to upgrade my op system.

I'll live with it for now. My computer is still vastly improved as it is.

thanks for all the info.

I've just read on a forum somewhere that there's a problem with the bios of this motherboard where the agp is locked in PCI mode unless the agp clock speed is set to 67 instead of 66! Doesn't make sense to me, but what the hell, I'll try it.

Hi all, just a thank you for helping me this annoying problem I had with the AGP slot on my computer! I got it working, finally!

Have you ever tried to fix something and you KNOW you tried a particualar thing so you don't try it again? Well I tried it again out of frustration and it worked! Bloody drivers! I just removed them again and reinstalled them, for only the 10th time or so!!

Yayyyy...happy gaming!

i know the exect feeling
why can't windows make a list of all the grivers you/it installs in a list.
the manufactuer have to make an ID file wich give a disscription of the files they give you in theire drivers
and you can select these drivers in a list to delete them.
it could also work with installed codex ... etc

is this soo hard to do???

"griever" = driver with grief ?

Grief with the so-called "DLL Hell" ... that would make sense ...

What way should fans be place.

I'm thinking that my 120 mm fan in the rear of the case should pull the warm air out of the case or does it need t push fresh air into the case. Same with the side fans do I push cold air in or pull fresh air in?

At the side will be one 90mm fan that cool the GPU now the gpu already has a fan so I thing the 90mm should push cold air in the case?

Any ideas or should I just experiment.

I think by ATX it is the best to pull the hot air out of the Case.

I think do you push the air in, so the hot air from the Graca, or the Prozessor, can be moving over other parts of the board and maybe in some corners, the hot Air will be catch.
So this Parts are getting hotter and hotter.

But with the new BTX? System Architecture is its still possible to blow the Air in the Case. There are some Heatpipes which will work in this way, and the Airstream is in the new System is better.

Morbs, classical way of putting fans.

One in front soaks cold in.
one in the rear that pulls hot out.

==> PC ==>

Air should move.

If you plan to place just one than Stone is absolutely right, place vent to take the hot air out of PC. Ahh, and don't forget about dust. There is great difference if you PC case is on th floor (70% of all dust) on the table, etc. If you have vent to soak air in, think about filter. That's my suggestions.

here take a look mate.

sorry but I have to disagree with the above, I feel the best way is to have the air blown out of the case, as it is easier to extract heat than to cool it down, further more there is the question of dust particles that would get sucked in like a vacuum cleaner, even though PC's are not as susceptible to dust as they used to be it is still something to keep in mind, however this is only "my opinion" and would love to hear from Lady_Rain about this particular subject

So the lower 120mm blows warm air out(rear view)
the lower vent(90mm) in the middle blows cold air in the PCI slots (side view)
and the upper vent in the midlle is situated in fornt of the CPU that wil be cooled by a zalman. (side view)

[color:"orange"] further more there is the question of dust particles [/color]

If you dont use a Filter you have the Dusk problem anyway.

So the best is, open the PC min. two times per year, and clean it carefully.

Don't worry my case will be open once a month to add parts or replace old once.

The case is basicly screwless and the side-panel swings open. How easy is that.

I have a question, is it possible to add fans even though there is no whole in the case for them? I kinda wanted one or 2 more 120 mm fans in the case I'm getting, but not sure if thats possible.

First 120mm are heavy fans. So for just to speed up air circulation in your case its serious overkill. Also just borrow your faters drill and poke some holes in it so you can add fans. Otherwise the fans only purpose is the increase air circulation.

The case has 2 fans, one in front, one in back, both 120, I was thinking of one 80 or 90 for the GPU, and maybe 80 or 90 for the top of the case, to bring heat out.
