Damn. Not good.

That reminds me: Daylight savings has been extended and is making a mess of automated systems.

I've tried to use WALIGN.EXE today for aligning firefox.exe . I think it worked, because I have the feeling as if it starts a bit (considerably) faster now.

I wonder whether this program is actually still alive in modern windows installations ?

hmmm have you got many extensions installed ??
cause they can really slow down FF!
aside from that on winXP (sp2) you can right click an icon and select fast launch

I've got Win98SE, sttill and yes, I have several extensions loaded.

I think I should de-install some more.

Does anyone knows or the G80 of NVidia will be released in 2006? cause i'm saving for the GeForce 7950 GX2, but just read that there soon will be a Geforce 8800GTX(G80).

Yeah LOL and by the time it has an affordable price, there will be a Nvidia 9000 on the market
Aside from that you should be able to see an SLI chip on the M/B situated in between the pci slots for the GPU's, please make sure when you install those sli's that you turn that chip in the correct direction (instruction should be in the manual)as north to south is for a single card and south to north is for the SLI setup

It's a funny bussiness this PC stuff the other day I bought what I thought was a pretty good 2 Gb flashdrive and believe it or not they are now making 64 Gb flash drives (YES 64 GIGABYTES) *sighs*

All the Computer-stuff is growing so fast, and they are eating more and more power. I think i'll just buy a Geforce 7950GX2 (I saw it somewhere for €510, that seems a good deal) cause like when i saved enough for the G80, i will want a PS3 and so on.

LOL someone Named Moore figured that out in 1965, and it has been proofed true even though it appears we nearly have reached the limit in nano tech with the current "technology" that we have available

btw Iso please make sure that you have a PSU (Power Supply Unit)that's strong enough to cope with that lot and that you can fir those 2 in SLI on "your" board, meaning that you have enough space between the cards for them to fit without getting overheating problems, particularly if those 7950's have large fans mounted, double check every thing before you lay out all that dough ok

Currently, processors 'n stuff eat away so much current it becomes dangerours - imagine *thousands* of people having current leaks on their PCs ! The energy producing companies cannot cope !

I guess it's time we focus more & more on current-saving computers - via money. It's the only language companies can understand.

Cr*p my Nforce 3 Ultra doesn't even supports Sli so i guess i can forget about my new Graphics Card. Well, then i'll just save for a PS3 and keep playing Oblivion on medium quality. If you download a new driver it doesn't changes anything to the sli-support, does it?

How close would we be to creating fully humaniodish robots?(think i've watched I, Robot too much )

Honestly, I rather fear too human-like robots. Even more, when they don't comply to Isaac Asimov's laws.

Does the world needs robots? exept for dangerous things like disfusing (or whatever it is called) a bomb, and maybe for helping old people, i don't think we really need robots.
