Yes this question has never been asked however there are many answers in the forum.

Some people think that Beyond Divinity is better than Divine Divinity.
Some people think that Divine Divinity is better than Beyond Divinity.
Some people think that the two games are different but equivalent.

I would have to say dd is better than bd imho..

Few things i dont like with bd,the movement is def 1 of them..
Also the zoom,to me thats pointless..
(there are other things i dont like as well but i dont want to bring the game down,as they do deserve your support.)

Anyway both are good games,it`s just dd stands out a lot better imho..

I think I will go with both are great games.... but different to each other....

Some things i prefer from DD.

No act changes (well only 1, the wasteland)
NPC interaction and friendlyness (reputation effects etc)
Armour sets
Green forests etc (nice and happy athmosphere)
Scorpion traps (there were lovely for dropping off in the orc camp and stand around gaining levels)
Invisibility (better than sneak IMO - Although i do think sneak is more realistic)
Assigning shortcut keys to WEAPONS (i missed being able to change between blade and ranged quickly in BD)
"Winning over evil" at the end of the game (In BD it felt like a defeat when you finally beat the game)
Easter eggs and hidden missions (and being able to steal the Larian sound team's organ
Kroxy (i LOVED that orc... he just had the best way of saying things.... Sorta like... "I'm not very cleaver, but i can carry heavy things ")

Some things i prefer from BD

Better inventory layout and weight control (with Patch 1.47)
Summoning Dolls (they shouldnt have a distance restriction though)
Battlefields (instant merchant access, even if you dont use the BF for XP)
Having a Sarcastic presence in your mind (I LOVE the DK's sence of (or lack of) humour)
Better Alchemy layout (I just think they should have included a book with explanations of which alchemy plants you needed for what potion - not knowing it made me feel helpless initially not being able to make a certain potion, but also not knowing which one i needed)
Lovely spells and skills
More thinking quests (like the endurance test in Act4 - etc)
Being able to unlearn skills
Having a bedroll (and the realistic issue about food) (although i must admit i LOVED walking around with a HUGE farmstyle bed in my backpack in DD - it just added to the feeling of "i stole that" )
Better types of damages and resistances .
More than 1 char in my party

All in all i love both....

Your existence alone, is excuse enough for the creation of the entire universe… Il you my darling Jeanne-Dré 
