hey i restarted dd becuz of sum reason and in some miraculous way i escape the catacombs (without completing it) and ended up in verdistis killing the vampire.
will this effect the geroge murdered quest and if yes how will it?

Without completing the catacombs Mardaneus is not freed and George is not killed yet, so you do not have the quest, so you may not have been able to ask the vampire about George, so you may not have gotten the confession you need to report back to Mardaneus and solve the quest (when you get it).

Yes, AFAIK the quest needs to be done in order. Logically, you can not ask about a murder that has not happened yet, so if you do not have a save from before killing the vampire, I don't think you will be able to complete the quest (though all you loose out on is a level of Restoration and a bit of experience).
