good day!

i just want to ask the following questions:

1. where is the key to the chest in cyrion's lair(iona's pet)?
2. my reputation was lowered by 2 when i talk to the imp member of the council of seven to appear in the council, why is that?
3. is there a way to see the damage dealt your enemies? i'm just puzzled how can a single blow can smash through 100 pts. aura of guarding and 60 pts. of spellshield and still deal 300+ damages to my character.

thanks.

1. i didn't see any key on top of the chest, i tried running my mouse all over the place since the alt key won't reveal anything.

2. ok. why choose an ex-evil imp to form the council and make the hero suffer?

Drag the skull from the top of the chest into your inventory.

Reputation is how other humans perceive your character. Since imps and orcs are 'the enemy', helping / consorting with one will drop your reputation, regardless of it being the right thing to do or necessary to save the world.

In DD only the damage you do is listed on screen, not what is done to you. If Aura of Guarding and Spell Shield were both reduced, the attack must have done physical and magical damage. Check your resistances; if any are negative (a super drug gives +100 poison resistance and -100 spiritual resistance, for example) that can lead to large damages done. Death Strike can also do a lot of damage, regardless of hit points or protection (though it can be resisted).

one last question.

are the items dropped relative to the class of character you play?

i've noticed that while playing with a mage class, most items dropped have 3 or higher identification as compared to my current survivor class, most of the items dropped have 2 or lower identification. rarely would i get a 4 or 5 identification.

There is no relation to class, AFAIK. People have noted differences in luck in different games, but I don't think there was any correlation with class.

Item quality is partly dependent on character level, however. The higher your character level, the better the chance you have of an item's stats being in the upper range for that item.
For example, in a game to try for the lowest level finish, Ariana reloaded a large number of times trying to get a holy weapon with Frost around level 5, but failed. Returning at around level 10, she found it much easier to get a better sword. She hit the gong on level 12 (ending up in the wastelands at 17), then quit.

The colour of the name indicates the relative quality of the equipment, though there is some overlap.
From low to high; white, grey, blue, green, yellow, gold.
