I must have another go at Bloodlines, my old PC took an eternity to load between screens on that game??

Me playing Grand Theft auto: Liberty city stories on the PSP

Call of Cthulhu on the Xbox...

PC gaming is being phased out of my brain...it would seem!

How's GTA on the PSP?

As for me, I've mostly been playing Everquest 2 and CS:source.

I was suspicious at first, after reading the review which praised it in a lot of ways, there was talk of some slowdown, and of a diluted GTA experience.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I've barely seen any slowdown or jerkiness. Tiny hints of it when the screen is full of cars and people AND there's smoke or an explosion going on, but it's hardly even noticeable.

Regarding frame rate I'd say its the very same as the Xbox version of San Andreas, because even that slowed down when the screen was cluttered.

Anyway, the game is more like GTA 3 and Vice City, with a couple of San Andreas bits thrown in. The graphics and amount of people, cars, and things to do is right up there with Vice City.

It's actually amazing to see a full 3D city running on a handheld. And the sound and radio stations are all there.

The story seems a bit generic at the moment though. Mafia type guy, doing stuff for the 'family'. Some missions are simple drive around affairs, but there's some decent variety overall in what I've done so far. Acting and cut scenes are just what you'd expect from any version of GTA.

I couldn't wait any longer and decided to buy GTALCS last saturday. It is a very impressive game! So far I agree with all you said Plow, and I am still shocked to see all this content on a portable console.

Good call...you do have to see it playing to appreciate that the PSP is incredibly powerful for its size. Burnout Legends proved that, GTA just hammers it home.

I started playing Warhammer 40K: D.O.W. yesterday. Like it a lot, AOE3 was better imho, but W40K is a nice timegap-filler until the movies and NFS: Most Wanted are released

I finished Call of Duty 2 today. Some boring levels, some amazing ones. On the whole a great game.

Hello.

I have to make an announcement.

The community-based unofficial Patch 1.4 for the game "Age of Wonders : Shadow Magic" has been released !

The Patch is about 40 MB big. (Beta version had 39 MB.)

The official announcement in the Heavengames forum can be found here.

The FAQ is here.

A so-called "party-thread" is here.

The main thread accompanying the whole patch production process is here. (Mostly for historical reasons.)

This is the announcement I wanted to post. I was a member of the translation team responsible for the German language.

Alrik

P.S. : In the next days I'll post my raw, uncut versions of my translations in the download section of the AoWHeavengames site - but this is only an informational thing.

I'm playing Soldiers: Heroes of World War II again. Amazing game, but very difficult.

ATM I'm playing The movies and I'm gonna pick up NFS:MW tonight

The movies is great, esp. in the beginning, but then after a while some annoyances start to float on the surface, esp. when you want to rearrange your lot. So now i'm going over the 60's and 70's. I hope to reach the end soon so I can can start a sandbox mode game with only the latest technologies and such.

I only hope that NFS:MW wont take TOO much of my time

I'm just curious: Anyone here ho has played all the Final Fantasy games? Or at least some of them? I was thinking of picking them up (never played a FF game in all my life), but I was curious about which if them was acually worth picking up?
