Not a surprising question from Jang But very interesting though, so, is it free?

Merendrious, the font he's using is the same in NWN.

xacesx, as how Draggy put it; the colour of the words in the left-hand menu does need to be brighter. & as for flash, i rather u not put it in unless there are functions that require that technology which normal html can't do.

other than that, the site's pretty nice with the top bar pop-down menu. & i like the font u used for the title. what is it? is it free?

The font used for the Ratchs Patch logo is: Penultimate regular. I'll get back to work on the site at the weekend, thanks everyone for your input; it's much appreciated

If you look at my site, there's nothing fancy on there. Just all lines and a couple of pictures

That's why I like it. I don't like fancy stuff, especially on a webpage. I like things simple, but presented nicely. It's a lot easier to find things when the layout is simple. To me, that's more impressive than fancy crap.

I also like the dark background and colours. It's a lot easier on the eyes.

[color:"red"] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/color]

Remove Diablo/diablo 2 from the RPG section!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!! They're not RPGs in any way, and should therefore not be placed in the RPG-part of the site!!! Your definition of the genre itself is allo questionable... But now to the purelly visuall :

Besides, in the far left of the site, there is one line that is not attatched to the rest of the site. The one by the menue (with home, downloads etc).

Yeah, I like the colours myself. I picked them because, like you say, they are easy on the eyes. The site doesn't glare at you and you don't strain to see it. Most of the people who replied think it's a bit too dark though

@ Ube

I can't find that line you're talking about? The buttons aren't attached fully, I designed them that way, but they should all look the same. Can anyone else see this line problem?

Ah, Diablo isn't a RPG I see. So what is it?

It's categorized as action-rpg, but it's more like platform (to use my brother's word). You just run around and kill stuff, not much story, no choices at all, apart from building a character (which is allso focused on killing stuff) there is not really any other RPG elements in it (minor story, minor quests), and therefore it's not an RPG. And it's not the buttons themself, if's a bit down the site, on the left site, where the lines aren't fully attached (if one of the lines continued it would make the lines twice as thick at that place). Is that really supposed to be?

hack 'n slash is the term best used to categorize D/D2 imo

I categorize it as a Sub-Genre of the RPG-Genre, and this Sub-Genre is called "Action-RPG".

This Sub-Genre is very much liked by publishers, because it produces quite a huge income of money for them (means : Sells *very* well).

Well I ain't making another section on my site for it, so it's back to being an RPG

Besides, the character takes on a role, and develops according to how you play. Just because he has to hack 'n' slash his way to experience...

But you don't play a role and experience a story in Diablo (1&2), and these are the main points in an RPG. It's not the central part anyway. It's not even second. Or third. Acually, you don't play Diablo in order to play a role and experience a story, you do it in order hack monster to death.

Well, I'd say you do play a role, because I wouldn't have different explanation for the experiemnce points and abilities the character gets.

Okay, the char's deeds are simply reduced to h/S, but that's just one tradition in role playing. remember that RPGs evolved from kind of miniature battles (of which the "table top" games are an relict).

By the way, someone said once that from the role-playing aspect on even an FPS is a "role playing game" ...

Yeah, there are probablly more or less RPG-aspects in every game. But when talking about something that really developed from the table variant, where hack'n'slash isn't such a great part (I think...). In these games you're supposed to "act" as your character, doing what your character would have done considering his abilities and background, and to experience a good story as that character. And if you think about it, this is really what a true cRPG is about too (maybe less of the first one since altering your background is pretty hard in a cRPG. Only Torment have really sucsessed in makeing that part work, since the main characters background isn't known, and to that the story is written BASED on finding that background out).

I showed you a preview of my website a little while agao, but I can't remember where I posted it.
I've been doing some more work on it, and it looks completely different then last time.
Please, remember that it's not finished yet, and that you can't do much right now. But I'm soo glad that my links are working and that the site is looking the way I wanted to. The only links that doesn't work yet, is the "email" link, the "vote" link, the "guestbook" and on the last page, the "next" link, because there is no "next" yet

Thanks man, but the song is written in elvish, so unless you are an elf, you really have to learn the language.

@ everybody
Can anyone help me with a translation of this song?

Just to let you guys know, that I have moved my website to another adress, due to the way it has grown over a short time now.
I needed more webspace because I keep making new pages and I'm overflowing with new ideas to work out.
Galadriel's Website
I'm working on a few new pages, so they will be added very soon, and please try out the music buttons. Click on the letters to make it work. New buttons will be there soon too.
Maybe it sounds silly, but this is something that I'm really proud of.
Btw, would it be interesting to add a link to this forum too? Let me know guys!!

Thanks for your message and for the compliments. About your suggestion, I'm not quite following here. You say to put the navigation links on the sides, I'm afraid that it would bring the page out of it's balance, don't you? And what about the frames? What frames do you mean? You can pm me anytime about it
