Champions Return to Arms is a lot like Baldurs Gate for the PS2. The same engine is used too, I think.

Xbox/PS2 RPG Games worth playing:

Baldurs Gate
Baldurs Gate 2
Champions Return To Arms
Fallout: Brotherhood Of Steel
Bards Tale
Dungeons & Drangons Heros
Lord Of The Rings: The Third Age

And possibly the Final Fantasy stuff.

There is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and a game of the year edition with the expansion pack built in, but this is for xbox. If there is a PS2 version of this game, it's pretty good. However, the gameplay is vast and open, which makes for a frustrating game if you're crap at these or impatiencent.

It's a long drawn out story not a hack 'n' slash type.

Simple. They're not in the market for our benefit; they're in it for their own <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> greed drives everything...
