I am sorry if this has come up before. Ok this is getting on my nerves, I have been teleported to the same two spots every time I try to go anywhere. This the third day & two hours latter going to the same two spots no matter which way I go. I finaly looked at a walkthrough & it said I need to get the lower central part but every time I try I get teleported to the east side or the west side. I understand it may take a while but how long do I have to wait to get there. Please help I am getting very frustrated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Barta for the map. I had already found it and completed the quest after I left this post but now I need to ask where is the gem for the Rebel Elder? Did I miss something?

The gem is in a cavern in the Crystal forest.
If you are tired of searching for it look at the maps.

Spoiler

This is 2 maps from Hellfighter's site.

The cavern is located at n°5 on this map :
Crystal forest south part

You'll find the gem at n°2 on this map :
Monster cave

I was already in that cave before I got the quest, could I have sold the gem. or not gotten it because I did the cave before I got the quest? I am signing off for tonight. I will look forward to talking to you tomorrow.
Thanks again for your help.

I am sorry if I sounded rude, Why do you say it was a stupid question? you are to hard on your self. So if I download this file of Raze what will it do for me?
You see I am very dumb about about computers so I do not understand most of the tech help people give on the forum.
P.S. Thanks for all the help you have given me even if I dont understand some of it.

I played Beyond Divinity a long time ago and i did not remember very well the quest with the gem.
I thought that the gem was for the smith for getting the sword.
It's why i said it was a stupid question.

I guess you could get get the gem by downloading the file.
I am also not good with computers and i don't understand the technical posts made by Raze.
But i know that these posts help a lot of people who are stuck in the game.

The quest with the gem is not a main quest and if you can't do it, it's not really important.

I hope you enjoy playing Beyond Divinity.

You should be able to find the gem before getting the quest.
Quest items can not be sold, and this one (like most) is unique enough you probably would not have dumped it in a stash somewhere.

The first post of the inventory file topic contains a link to the Lost Items topic (written for DD but it also works for BD) which describes how to use the downloaded inventory files to get the item.
Why did I type "demon bane's game" when I meant [i]gem[i]?

Thanks Raze but I went back several saves & I found it. I do have a problem with my save & load option window, where it showes a picture of what you are saving or loading is black every time I save. It happened right after the game errored & went back to the desktop. I hope there is a easy way to fix this & not to technical or cause other problems, other wise I will learn to live with it. If I need to delete a save game in \Beyond Divinity\savegames' folder please tell me how to find. \Beyond Divinity\savegames' folder. Like I said before I dont know any thing technical about these computers.

Thanks again for all your help.

The screenshot is only taken/shown in the save or load windows when Full Screen Anti-Aliasing is disabled. If you enabled FSAA after that crash, try running the configuration program and setting FSAA to mode 0, then hit the 'apply & close' button. There is a display issue with the configuration program always showing the FSAA mode as zero when first opened, so try changing it, then change it back to zero and hit 'apply & close'.

You can delete saves from within the save and load windows (select the save game and hit the trashcan icon in the bottom left of the window).
Using Windows Explorer (or whatever) does allow you additional options, though (move, zip, etc). The default install folder for BD is 'C:\Program Files\Larian Studios\Beyond Divinity', so that is most likely where it is (if you changed the path during install, it would probably have been to a specific games folder or partition, which you would remember). You can also right click on the game shortcut (either in the start menu or on the desktop) and select Properties to show the path to the game.
