I feel productive for a change. I may not have completed many tasks, but I chased up a number of loose ends. It's fun to not procrastinate so much!

Well there you are, 2 old "fokey's" (Völker) together, having a giggle <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> and being totally <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" /> sheesh Barta would be proud of us <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

what made me happy.... interestingly enough also a puppy....

Scylla (a boerboel - for the non-afrikaans people... BIIIIIIGGGG watch dog) 2 months old....

started her training today..... first time ever....

and mastered the following:

sit
stay
come
wait (before she takes food)
and all of these she did flawlessly... not once did she disobey <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

what she DIDNT master:
heel (then again, it was her first time in a harness and choker)

but we will have that sorted out in the next week or so....

but she did in 1 day of training, what other dogs take 3 months to master....

so the trainer recons that we can go rigth through to agression training with her.... normally they wont put boerboels through agression training, for the pure fact that they are naturally too agressive, and wont let go of their "prey".... but scylla appears to be obedient enough, and eager enough to please us.... and since she will be at under 6 months when she starts her agression training.... she wont have that born in instinct to kill YET.... so we can master it before she becomes a killer <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

All in all i feel like a proud mommy....

as soon as she is trained... we will start with the 2 shar-pei's (who currently think ears are something mommy scratches and thats their SOLE purpose). They will follow commands when they FEEL like it though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Yea we CHOSE the name because of the "nymph-turn-seamonster" myth.... we reconed she is so cute and cudly now, but in a year's time she will kill anything that walks past <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

She needs to kill people... thats why we got her... we have a problem with people coming onto our property, trying to steal whatever we leave outside..... (thank heavens they havnt tried to break into the house yet).... but we need to strongly discourage them to enter our property..... and i think that a 100kg ferocious, drooling, killer-pirranah-poodle <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> will get that message accross fairly effectively....
