Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Mages....

I've never finished DD as a mage character before, but I plan to soon, I just want to know how I should put my points into spells, if anyone can give me any useful help I'ld appreciate it

I never played the game as a mage.
Knowing that the most difficult ennemy to defeat is Josephina, i think it's important to get the spells for fighting her.

Which spells are most effective in general?

Use this combo= A couple of survivors curse (not the spell withering curse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) so you can do life leech til you can finnish the monster off with hellspikes. Kills anything in like five seconds, unlss you're really slow <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />. Kiya did it in three irrc.

Other usefull spells are Freeze, and the lightning wall spell (use it and lure a crown of monsters into it and you'll know why <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />). Restoration is never wrong... That's about all you need if I recall correctlly, but if you pick some other spells (too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) it wouldn't hurt. You've got quite an ammount of skillpoints in the end, so unless you invest in everything all the time, you'd ought to have enought skillpoints to get around.
