As a programmer I am insulted that he compared me to a Game Designer/(artwork artist?).

wazzz worked on Age of Wonders fyi

Yes Wazzz is a truly a gifted man, an IQ that could easily rival Einstein his IQ. He is truly a god among men!!

What possibly could be wrong with him?
<span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>
He's Dutch <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Yep that really brings down your average <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

@Wazzz: please respond with a cliché Holland vs Belgium response like: "Well At least we are going to the worldcup".

Wazzz has worked for more than two years at Netherlands-based Triumph Studios,
working on parts 2 and 3 of the highly acclaimed Age Of Wonders series. Here he worked not only as a concept artist, but also as level- and gamedesigner.
Has also worked as game- and character designer for the yet to be released boardgame Wasteland Wars, by the Swedish No1 Productions.

I have one burning question that I would love to have a clue on...is there the possibility of adding co-op multi play to the next game?

I always thought it would be fun to run around kiling orcs with dragh and kiya and all the other Define Infinity folks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Hehe, I would love to roleplay with you guys and women in the Divinity universe ^^ I like mmorpg's because of the roleplaying I just shiver when I read "Slay 10 flesh eaters and 10 rotten ones and report back to that guys"... anyway... co-op multiplay with the world interactivity as in the Divinity series would be <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I don't hope <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />2 wil be a MMRPG (or something spelled like that...)
not even a co-up.
because then you better wait until diablo3 comes, out.

i like the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> series as single player.
even in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> i disliked the second character , because in the end i had to "babysit" on my second character, all the way true te game.
story based it had potentionel, but not in the gameplay And that was what <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> made a great game in the first place,
big land to explore, lot's of (not your average day)quests, and special weapons you could find, the freedom where ever you would go.

party based (online) cripples that freedom

The thing I like about mass multi-player is that you are
1) never alone in the world
2) unable to complete many quests alone
3) able to role-play and find others who enjoy role-playing as much

while in single-player, how much freedom the game gives you, you will be limited to just that amount of freedom.

In my opinion a great mmmorpg would be one where effectivly everyone could be a part of the bigger picture. Take WOW's realms but, that every realm would be different, terrotory would have shifted, goals, quests would be different. It does not matter who has "rolled" and won the best sword avaible in the game, but someone would have crafted it. A world that evolves on every action taken by any player.

But then again, I am daydreaming <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

And I certainly hope Diablo 3 wouldn't be an mmorpg, truly I don't care but Diablo in mmorpg form would be a disaster. talk about Item fever...

well, i saw some ingame movies about WOW, and if you visit a town and all you can see is 100ths of people with a name tag above theire heads...my gaming is ruined.

the limits of a game is content.
and that's a good thing for an online game.
but your not alone, it's like living in a very denced town.
or walking in newyork with the rest of the thousends pedestrials.

True, altho on low population servers this isn't all that bad, you keep meeting the same poeple, even out of town. Then again It is also the market place that is crowded, and honestly is nothing abnormal.

WOW is imo only meant to sell really good, wich it does. It's not a very good RPG enviroment altho it does introduce poeple to what RPG could be. For me it's a fresh breath in gaming to log on my realm expecting to advance a level and en up spending several hours in an inn talking and even helping out complete strangers on a quest, I am a paladin and it is my duty to serve those who need my aid.

Altho many developers promised new content will be added to the game very often none has done so. To me it seems quite simple, you hire experienced RPG writers to do nothing else than study, observe his server/realm/race and play an important role, such as, King, High Commander ... So the several opositions, races, have their playerbased story dependant characters. Then there are some others that have access to the world, can spawn npc's, boss characters etc etc, with the job of creating new quests all day.

This way each server "realm" will have it's own unique story, world that has been influenced by the occupants.

Sorry, offtopic spick <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> please forgive me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

On-topic tho, whatever DD2 will be, I'm sure it will be great. If it is as least as good as DD I will be obsessed by it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
