Oh well there you go, wrong again, but in my defence I must say it has been about 5 years since I "tried" playing online with Diablo original or otherwise, as it was such a nerd service, with all those -6555555 HP L33T characters running around

I pretty much gave up on online games until NWN where you can play on a server that host the game, without these erm Uber guys

Won't have that problem if you play with me or my friends

well thanks for the Invite, it does mean however, that I have to dig thru some boxes in the cellar (no not to kill rats ) to find Diablo *scratches head* now which box was it ??

And the one that smells like rotten meat

I installed Diablo in the local ´werelwinkel´ were I do every two weeks some volunteering work.

But alas no internet connection there and a bad screen so that at the end of my shift my eyes hurt like hell but it is fun to play every now and then.

i just finished playing giablo1,
the end cut-scene was a rather surprise,
not so happy ending

now i realize that diablo2 has lots of improvements over the original one,
because after level 10 or so i got bored playing it...
in diablo i got bored playing at the end of the second difficult setting
next game to install is morrowwind with expansions.
but only after all of my promised chores will be done..
I hope that I can play it in the year 2007 somewhere

Me too , but that was the first time i played the game.
1 year later, with the expansion installed, i got a bit more patience.

I personally WOULD be interested if I still had a copy. Unfortunately I don't have one and Blizzard's online store doesn't have Diablo 1 available for buying alone, only as part of the battle set. I have plenty of Diablo2.

I'm personally going to search the internet for a demo version so I can see if I still like it as much as I remember liking D1.

e-Bay is a good way to find an old game, but it turns out I remembered this game as better than it was. I played through some of the demo from Fileplanet, and noticed all sorts of problems that I hadn't remembered.

Gold taking inventory space, tiny inventory, no way to show loot on the screen like good ol' , not being able to keep attacking without spamming my mouse button... The list goes on. I think I'm just going to stick with more current games of the genre like , , and Harbinger.

Harbinger is clicky as well, if I remember. Another one I found fun was [/i]Space Hack[/i]. My only gripes with this game was with equipment. There's a lack of special features on equipment and they offer you "requires level 60" stuff right from the start. The graphics are great and it's pure hack-and-slash/run-and-gun action.
