I'd like to suggest getting the guy who did the music for divdiv back for this new title. That was some of the most immersing and beautiful music from any game ever made!

...and while im here, a few sub-suggestions?

Co-op mode! This is THE most important thing you MUST include. I'd just love to play divdiv co-op! RPGs are so much more fun with real players in your party.

I really didn't like the two man team idea from Beyond Div... Beyond was also too short. IF the 2 people could be played with 2 computers on LAN it would have rocked.

since i just saw on larian.com something about starforce being removed i had a thought.... Starforce doesn't bother me, but NO copy protection would probably just save you guys money. Copy protection doesn't bother the pirates - games come with cracks and bypass it altogether! Its the legit users who have to suffer its presence. I've actually had to find cracks for 2 purchased titles because they didn't like other software i had installed!!

The divdiv game engine is FINE. ALL my favourite RPGs are 2D!! Don't feel the pressure to waste time becoming "next-gen", having to deal with technical issues, etc when you could just make loads and loads of content!! I understand that things are well underway - but dont abandon the old engine! so much work is already done if you continue to use it. I suppose to include multiplayer you'd have to rewrite the whole thing anyway... Think i just answered my own question - "if we're rewriting it anyway, why not make it conform to modern standards?"

Thanks for reading.

The guy is Kirill Pokrovsky and he has also made the music for Beyond Divinity.

I think the multiplayer issue will always be a hot topic. Personally, I don't use and thus need the multiplayer part. If it has to be, I just hope that it doesn't harm the rest of the game - like by using developing resources which could be used for something else in the singleplayer part otherwise.

Kirill Pokrovsky demonstrated his talent and sensitivity by creating a score for Beyond Divinity that may well be its defining strength. The individual tracks not only succeed in capturing and conveying a variety of moods to suit the game's range of situations, but also come together to form a unified and eminently enjoyable whole that played a critically important role in Larian's intriguing tale of a character soul forged to a Death Knight

Kirill is the best! His music alone is enough to me wanting to have the next game ASAP!

Indeed, the music in both BD and DD was great. It really helped the player get immersed in the game and managed to set the mood in a very subtle way so as to emphasize a situation without interfering with the actual game sounds. I think the tracks of the next installment in the series will be just as enjoyable seeing how they're being made by the same great artist and so I guess that's one area there's little to worry about.

That only leaves graphics, engine and content.

I love Kirill's music, I bought the limited edition CD and have quite a few of his tracks on my tiny ipod nano (2gb) and have some of his tracks on my favorite playlist that I limit to 50 tracks.

The only thing is I hope they make the music match the levels a bit more. Like in the beginning of ACT 2 I wish there was ambiance or music that makes you feel alone or whatever. That was the only point I turned the music off so I could just hear the wind blow and that part of them game became much more immersive.

Well, Alexander Brandon is also pretty good at making music for games.

Some of the games he worked on are:
Jazz Jackrabbit. (1&2)
Unreal. (1&2)
Unreal Tournament. (1)
Deus Ex. (1)
Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer.
