Divine Divinity is one of my favorite games. Ever. I think it is almost perfect, except for the end of the game which may have been limited due to funding. I liked Beyond Divinity but it was not quite as good as DD.

I have been super excited about Divine Divinity 2 for a long time and I have 100% confidence in Larian. When Lynn made the silence post last year I thought that the game might even be out by now. I check here often for news, and I hope that the game is progressing well. I hope we get an update soon.

Well, technically, Larian is still silent, and it is still before the 'storm'.

There were links to a couple unofficial announcements in the Release Date topic about a 'well known Belgian team' (that may or may not be Larian) developing an RPG with a projected release of early 2009. Even if these sites are wrong, or refer to a different company, Larian still has job openings listed, so that is not an unreasonable time frame (though they could just need a few odds and ends done, or be hiring for other projects).

patience runs out at a certain point. I passed that point a while ago, now i'll just see when something is being said, but i'm not looking out for the game anymore ATM

Hmmm... I hope the end product will be a combo of the good points from both BD and DD. They also better overhaul the inventory system 'cos it gets really messy when monsters drop a lot of equipment!

Also, they also better include instructions and labels with the charms in DD2: the exclusion of all those details in BD was not good.

if we all just hang tight, larian won't disappoint us. DD2 is going to be a great game when it is released and then we won't think about how long it took. we'll be too busy playing it and having fun.

though SOME new might be nice from a "professional" developper.

I mean: how hard can it be to release some screens or artwork or even waht the game is going to be about .. ??

they'll prolly make some fancy Xmas stuff again, but I don't want that, I'd appreciate some info, screens or artwork a lot more. (making that fancy xmas card also costs time)

The official Enya Forum also currently has a "drought of information".

And I must say that it does not good to the community there at all.

Come on, Larians, maybe a few screenshots ? Artwork ? Christmas present ?

Well since I got A job I am spending less time here since I am working. The Larian people might have the same problem. But I am starting to crave for information now. It doesn't have to be much.

But seriously!!!

What happened to Otho's pigs? Since didn't give an answer to that question.

Well, maybe our christmass present this year IS some news about the new game.

Some info about the story would be nice, I would even apreciate it more than a screenshot.

I'm sure Larian will tell us stuff when it's actually worth telling. They always have done

Well, I hope they manage to secure enough funding to release a very polished game.

Also, I hope the quests and storyline will be more interesting than in BD. In BD, there's so much hack and slash balanced with so few interesting quests, I feel like my brain's already gone numb.
