Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems *Spoilers?* Issues with Gong event transition

After the gong is rung, the usual event happens, everyone dies etc, but after all this, and the threatening demon does his quick speech, I am left with half health up in the upper left corner from the "damage" I took during the ceremony. Even without all my gear on and no health left nothing changes. I'm meant to become the divine one thereafter, I know from reading, but it seems as though it stops right there, like I've been denied. I know I was evil during the game, but damn, that's a stopper there.

So any ideas on how to overcome this issue, or am I eternally damned? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Put the play CD in an optical drive, reload your last save and hit the gong again. The no-CD hack can not handle the videos played during the blessing ceremony (or at the end of the game). If it still doesn't work, a couple people reported having to restore the original div.exe program file; re-install the patch (or game) if you didn't make a backup.

With the patch installed (or an already updated re-release game version) there is a configuration file edit to skip the intro videos (see here). With this you will not need the play CD, except for the blessing ceremony and end game videos.
