if any of you like to use resurrect/aura of command, there is a way to heal your controlled creatures...

i'm controlling the dragon-rider that mardaneus killed near aleroth and the engineer from the cursed abbey... when you cast aura of command on a wounded creature that you already control, their health returns to normal...

but for some reason i can only heal the dragon-rider in this way... any other ideas about how to heal commanded creatures?

If it's only the Dragon Rider you can heal in this way, it might be a bug. But still, Wow Great thing to have as an ally!

the dragon-rider is insane! one blast from the dragon hits enemies from a distance and does around 200 damage... and if the enemy survives, it is also frozen most the time...

and if you have the engineer and the dragon-rider, for some reason neither of them die if you decide to sleep! but now i can only use aura of command to heal the engineer and not the dragon-rider... wtf! lol...

As simple as that I've got to try it, it just sounds too cool not to.

You can also cast Spell Shield and Aura of Guarding on summoned or resurrected creatures.

There are a few boss-type monsters that do not die when you sleep. Someone posted about using the skeleton conjurer from under the warrior's guild in the Dark Forest. It would start summoning on sight of an opponent, eventually amassing an army of skeleton warriors. This made the game way to easy, so the person stopped using it (after getting a screenshot showing a good portion of their min-map filled with the green crosses of skeletons).

I only know that the Engineer won't die when u sleep.

&...... using restoration to heal your resurrected creatures whose hitpoints are over 3500+ seems 'a bit' too tiring :s

I 'happened' to know a quicker way to heal your resurrected creatures...
HOWEVER, it is limited to Ors only. Everyone knows the heavydrummer who can restore the hp of his comrades (& himself too) to full, BUT.. it can restore the hp of your resurrected Orcs too! A wise way to do is to kill a heavydrummer near the Orcs Camp waypoint and resurrect it but without casting aura of command on it. So, when your orcs companion needs healing, u can always transport here and let it heal your orcs BEFORE killing it(at this time, it should turn hostile now) <-- Just remember to resurrect it before leaving

Right now, i have 2 Elite Orc chieftain, both with over 3500 hp and it sounds crazy just to cast restoration to heal them, even if u have LV 5 restoration

The side-effect is, however, that your character CAN'T sleep from now on...
My warrior hasn't slept for nearly a month! poor thing :o

In Baldur's Gate that wouldn't work, in Divine Divinity: no problem

I had a problem with a Res'd Rak'Sheen -- after I left the dark forest he didn't attack anything any longer. He would follow me but stop if there was an enemy nearby. The baddies would not attack him although they'd hover around for a bit. As soon as I was out of range of the critters or if they were killed then Rak'Sheen would fly back to me. Also, it was impossible to banish him. So he annoyingly followed me around for the rest of the game, unable to help or be hurt. This was very frustrating in small quarters where he would obscure things I needed to click on. Of course I could press Alt to resolve some of the problems but it was maddeningly annoying.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. Maybe he ran out of Mana? But that doesn't explain why I couldn't banish him and why he wasn't ever attacked.

Several people have had problems banishing certain creatures, a couple of which also related to them not attacking. If you keep casting Aura of Command (on summoned or non-unique resurrected creatures) up to the skill level you have, it should 'bump off' the problem creature, after which you should be able to either banish the new ones following you or sleep to destroy them. The last similar issue that I recall (vaguely) involved a couple of scorpions.

Hey thanks. Nah I thought of that too. No matter how many times I cast Aura of Command he would still follow me (its at level 5, maybe that's part of the problem?) and banish (also at level 5) would never work either. My character would just stand there and look at Rak'Sheen. I'm not worried about any other creatures, they functioned normally.

Did you try casting an area effect spell that doesn't need a target (such as Poison Cloud) near Rak'Sheen, but not directly on him? That might do damage, allowing you to kill him off.

Using a statuette will change your alignment, and could potentially effect Rak'Sheen. If he switches alignment with you, you could get him near a bunch of soldiers and use a spider or beetle statuette. Whatever messed up the normal attack behavior may still keep him passive even if he changes alignment, but it would be worth a shot.

I'm not sure what else to suggest in the game itself. If I had the save I'd try replacing the character data for Rak'Sheen, or see if I could find where the game keeps track of following creatures.
