Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems Game freezes before intro movie

My problem:
I run the game, I get all the nice shiny logo's from Larian and dtp and such, then the screen blacks out and it's end of story. (no error's, no message from windows that it stopped working, just an endless black screen)

My specs:
Intel Core2 @2.4Gz
2 GB ram
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS
Windows Vista 64

My attempts:
Updated my gfxcard driver to latest version.
Read on the forum that 182.50 version works better, so tried that one, with no effect.
I tried running it as admin, but that didn't get it going either.

My question:
Anyone got any idea what else I could try? Must... play... divinity... NAO!

I just bought the English version that released yesterday. So I guess normal?

Vista 64bit, huh? Barely doubt it wasn't tested by publisher/devs on that platform and barely doubt it's the issue, but well... lemme ask another guy with that that problem here.

Also, have you tried to contact support? Actually, there must be a Support section now. but I dunno why mods still didn't add it.

You should try uninstalling (if installed) the nvidia physics drivers and installing the latest ones or the ones that came with the game.

Black screen after the logo's should mean it's an Nvidia physics problem.

I've done that. Contacted support as well. I've sent my DxDiag to Lynn, so I guess you can lock this topic. Or I could post the solution as soon as we find it ^^
