ok so i am suppose to kill the ghost in the chapel and i die after three swing of the swords. i am at level 3. should i be at a higher level. i have already done about 4 quests in the village, dont know what else to do ?

Go into the wild and kill some craps to increase your level.

its many quests in the village so you can reach lvl 5-6 before you face the ghost, you need to do some to unlock other quests.
