What version of the game is the steam version? Because I'm thinking of buying the game there, but I want the latest patches too, and as far as I know, you can't update the steam version with the official patches for the DVD version of the game.

I believe the Steam version has already been updated. You are correct that retail patch will not work, though. The next patch will have to be released through Steam, which may or may not mean a delay compared to the retail release.

oh okay good to hear that Raze. Think I'll buy it there today then, because it's hard to find a place to buy the game here in Denmark..
