i'm sure i'll get more than two, i just only have two ideas at this point. i walked out of the shop, and the first thought i had was "i want another one." seriously.
i think want to eventually have a sleeve on my left arm.

I saw in a program this week a woman with a large dragon on her entire upper arm, it looked VERY cool, kind of a chinese dragon

Hi Faile,

How do you know if that oriental or hyroglyphic writing on tatoos does not translate into 'idiot' or 'dont I look like a prat'?

If you asked the tatooist (or tatooer?!) I don't think they would let on - that would spoil the joke.

The picture of the banshee tatoo also looks more like liz hurley on a eurovision night.

Let me know your thoughts!

Whiskey you cruel person! *sniggers slightly* Still I'm sure Faile can respond better.
Looks good to me Faile.

well, i for one do not have oriental writing tattoos- that was duke. nor do i plan on getting any.
i don't think the tattooist would have any idea if it said different, unless they can read chinese / japanese etc. all they have to go by are their flash posters.

and as far as my banshee- thanks, man. liz hurley is hot. but i think she would be showing a bit more clevage.
i actually drew that tattoo about 5 years ago, and just happened upon it in an old sketchbook. i decided right than and there that was what i was getting. 6 months later, there she is.
but like i said before, the fog faded a lot during healing and i need to get that redone. and add some more shading to her face, make her seem more 'ghastly'.

Ok I have a couple of stories. The first one is more like an Urban legend and Ive heard a few versions of it.

A guy has a large tattoo done and only after finishing it does the tatooist find out that the guy has no cash to pay for it. He gets a couple of large friends to hold the guy down and tattoos "I like fish and chips" on his forehead.

I was drinking with a friend one day when I noticed a tattoo on his arm, a love heart with a banner. The banner said Andrew. I asked him about it and he told me it was supposed to be his wifes name there but a train was going past the parlour when the Tatooist said "What name?" and he mistook her as saying "Whats your name?". So thats why he has his own name in a love heart on his arm .

I think he doesnt mind, he and his wife got divorced and this saves him having her name removed. Besides its a great conversation starter

well, good for him.

and that, kids, is why no matter how much you are in love, you do not tattoo names of significant others on yourself.
