I'm level 6, ennemy goblin is level 1.
I enchant him (not sure the name in english ... the priest spell that makes ennemy turn against its friends for some time).
When the spell wears off and he becomes again an ennemy and my creature kills him I get 0 xp.

When I directly kill a level 1 goblin I get 1xp.

PS: 1 xp is nothing but I wonder for later in the game.

I've noticed that using 'charm' on enemies reduces the XP gained from killing that enemy. I believe I've also read that somewhere, though I'm not sure where, either the game pressure guide or the manual.

Ah yes .. charm .. I did not remember that from the book. I noticed xp reduction as well. Sometimes we get 5 xp instead of 50 or wathever.

Too bad, but I find this gameplay funny.

XP depends on how much damage you did to killing an enemy.
If you only did 50% of the damage, you only get 50% of the XP for the kill.
Your summons and creature of course count as 'damage you do'.

But because in this case the Goblin was charmed, he received damage from the other goblins. Thus the XP gets shared between you and the goblins that hurt your charmed goblin.

Just by curiosity, can enemies level (providing they get enough kills)?

If they can, then you're not killing them fast enough wink But seriously - I really doubt it.

No, but that would be hilarious, to see an enemy kill your creature and see the level-up sparkle on him laugh

I was more thinking of charming an ennemy and keep him with me long enough to level :p

But charmed enemies don't follow you around...
