Is there any way to improve the jumping ability? In FoV my jumping ability has almost vanished.
Thanks,
TigerJim

No, but I didn't notice any difference between jumping in FoV compared to the ED part of the game, at least not in DKS.

It's possible there were some changes between the original ED and the stand-alone FoV expansion, as the stand-alone expansion updated parts of ED and the game engine when installed, but I've never heard it reported on the 'lists of changes between ED and DKS' topics.

I down loaded the entire game but then I decided to just continue where the old game left off. The problem is that I am stuck in 3 separate places in FoV that I need to finish them and jumping is involved in all of them.
Thanks,
TigerJim

Firstly, is jumping really involved? Like most RPGs, DKS occasionally suffers from the 'slightly too high barrier that you can't pass' syndrome - e.g.: barriers that you could obviously climb over in real life, but which are impassable in the game, therefore forcing you to find another solution...

Otherwise, you'll need to supply some more details. Can you let us know which areas/jumps are causing problems?

Maybe the video walkthrough might help - you can find them on this thread:

Good luck!

In the "wild" you can jump much better than inside the city. That was already the case in ED (although some outside areas like just outside of Broken Valley used inside. Or maybe just until you turn Dragon Knight, haven't really travelled there afterwardsd).

Several dungeons may allow 'outside' jumping still, but overall in FoV you use 'indoor' jumping.

FWIW the hardest part I felt was the jumping platforms in that depleted mine. I made a save after every new platform I reached. And those disappearing platforms.... #@#$#@$@^%!!!

Also, when jumping to platforms, does your character ever seem not to jump the whole way and instead draw or sheathe their weapon? 0_0 what the heck!

I have not had the combat mode change when jumping platforms, but have during hectic combat trying to jump back, or dodge, etc. The left stick button to toggle between drawing and sheathing weapons (in the Xbox version) should only trigger when the stick is centred, IMNSHO.

I have finally been able to complete the jumping indoors. I didn't know there was a difference in jumping outside and inside, where do you make the change?

I still have 2 other quests that require jumping and I'll tackle them next.
Thanks for your help.

At least in D2:ED and the start of DKS, the difference in jumping indoors depends on the region. Many indoor locations (caves, etc) are large enough to allow the flip jump you get after you become a dragon knight. Some indoor locations restrict you to your initial jump (like the Black Boar inn and the harbour building), even if there may be enough room for the higher jump.

I have not been able to use the flip jump in the Temple of Nimir to get to that lever across the way to extend the ladder, any other way to extend that next ladder?
Thanks.

There is a thread about about Crowell's house and helping the ghost, it says that the button is near the red X but I sure do not see any button. Any ideas? I have the key to his chest now.
Thanks

Hi again. Another spot I am stuck in has to do with Halliwell, I found Halliwell and Bernard in the Healers Inn but Halliwell will not interact with me. All I get is repeated dialog. Any ideas?
Thanks,

TigerJim - in Crowell's house, the button is on a wall when you first go into the house. It's on the right side.

Do you mean the Circle Of Trust Inn? If so the door on the second floor is sealed with a Demons Grip spell and a caption says to look where magic is stored.
If you mean the Healers House that's actually where he has no interaction with me nor does Bernard.
Thanks,

TigerJim

Finally I found the button, that one was pretty well hidden until I lit the candles, at least it seemed that way,
Thanks everyone,

TigerJim
