It would be great if the Steam version of Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga could be updated to include Steam achievements (the same ones as the Xbox 360 version). I feel that achievements are a great way to extend and expand gameplay.

An example of another game on Steam that added Steam achievements post release is Borderlands.

not to be a joykill, but i'm an advocate of the redundancy of "achievements." how can acheivements "extend and expand" gameplay when a vast majority of them can be 'earned' in the course of the game- also, since they can only be earned once?
the only achievements i can think of that aren't earned naturally in the game- Upgrading the Battletower to it's full potential, slaying all the Fortresses' generals, finding Michael's Raft, and killing the Killer Bunny.

just saying. If Larian wishes to do so, they will.

On the Xbox, achievements for main plot quests can allow developers to get some information on how far people progress in the game.

I think it's a good thing the devs can use this info for the improvement of future gamaplay. From a gamer standpoint, I don't really get a lot from these achvs. They add to my gamerscore, but I could give a rat's bee-hind about that, really. Achivs for the most part, are nothing shy of the awards that I rec during the years I spent in the Boy Scouts, during my adolescents. Where there were 100's of awards (badges and pins) given for the most idiotic things, from writing your name to counting a hand full of rocks and witness the wind blow a leaf from a tree. (not exactly but you get the just)

However, achivs that award the player with further gaming options are very welcome. For example, ME1 and ME2 boast the majority of their achivs, award the player with additional powers, weapons and/or talents. These awards actually have a little meat on the bone, and don't leave you with just another "Hey-Look-What-I've-Done" medallion.

I was speaking generally as I'm not familiar with the specifics of DKS's achievements. I always advocate for the inclusion of achievements though - I see no reason not to have them for those that want them.

Speaking of progress information, I also like how you can see global completion stats for Steam achievements.
