Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Zandalor is Like Gandalf From The Hobbit

The similarities are striking. Gandalf goes off during The Hobbit at certain points to perform tasks vaguely hinted at and then enters the story again at key moments and Zandalor also goes off to perform minor tasks and then returns at key moments.

P.S

Zandalor is more badass in Divine Divinity than he is in Divinity 2. He's more Gandalf like and his voice is much better. His avatar also looks better than his model in Divinity 2, I don't know why they changed him.

Yeah, especially Zandalor's voice is great in DD ! I really like his voice in DD !!

Zandalor,has a big face..i liked him..first time,he "saved" <--- :P my life..near the bridge..and Yes..zandalor,like Gandalf :P
