The demo presented at GDC to get investors was on an XBox 360.

Dual booting has its advantages. wink

I have no idea what the game actually will be like (the video is a bit slim both in looking awesome and telling me what it will be like).

I just have the impression the colour palette is somewhat... hum... I don't know... My Magic Pony comes to mind. wink

Will there be more (explaning!) details soon around here?

I've been on the Games Com for 2 days.

One thing I could observe was how easy it actually is to tell whether a game is for the PC or not.

it goes like this :

Does it look grim ? -> It's for the PC
Does it look colourful ? -> It's for Consoles or for online play.

You just don't need anything other.

There are exceptions, of course, but they rather strengthen the whole rule ... HOMM6 is such an example.

This game looks totally amazing, and from the details I've seen so far, I couldn't be more interested. RPG/RTS hybrid with dragons? I am SO there! smile

I just saw the vids from gamescon, Color me intrigued ^^.

Bullet Hell Dragon Action with Strategy-rpg added into the mix - unless you muck it up in some bad way (like that one dragon based ps3 launch title that plummeted straight into the ground) you have a sure sale on your hand.

Uh and yes what you need in any case: huge flying battleships that come out of some sort of hammer space and start blasting. macross style.

There is nothing better than a mix of dragon, flying battleships, laserz (anything that acts and looks like it really. magitech guns?) and droves of foes blasted from the skies while my own units swarm somewhere.

Battlezone. With dragons. And flying stuff.

SqeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Wow Larian. Way to sink yourself. Ground war RTS? really? Been there, done that. Never had an air fleet battle game.... and i guess i never will.

You mean Lair? That sucked because of the horrible controls (it was controlled only by motion detection) and lacklustre story.

As for Project D (DC) game length is around 20 hours single player so I think the really epic game is going to be project E aka Divinity 3. Nevertheless Dragon Commander looks like a fun game to play but it's early days yet and it should get even better going by Lar's recent posts.

I thought the controls were pretty good (other than the up close combat which was NOT motion controlled).

Matter of personal opinion I suppose but I can't play a game that offers no control method other than motion detection. Not this style of game anyway, the Nintendo Wii and it's games has it working perfectly but on the PS3 it just doesn't seem to work for me.

But back to Dragon Commander, I'd be buying the PC version anyway as I don't own an xbox. I'm also presuming the PC version will be graphically superior to the Xbox version as well as control system.

Depends, I play on both 360 and PC and find console controls more comfortable.

yeah same here I downloaded the PC version the other day but I still prefer the controls on the xbox

As for the graphics I haven't really noticed much difference if any.

then the pc is all the more awesome, since you can just use gamepad instead of mouse/kb.^^
