I see so many posts from folks needing potions, money etc.....folks are short of bottles, mushrooms, money, potions.....yet I don't see suggestions for using the skill...Heavens Gift.....at first I put just one point in this skill....started casting and got tons of red, blue, yellow potions.. etc ...also a little spending money....mix red and blue for restore potions....restore gives you a much larger "fill-up" than the red or blue alone.....yet most posts recommend Alchemy....what a hassle....look for bottles, or buy them....look for herbs...fill bottles..mix.....blah blah blah.....Heavens Gift is so simple......I ultimately put two points in this skill and have three items enchanted with Heavens Gift....when I need stuff, I equip my items and cast it at level 5 for Super Heal...Super Magic....Super Restore...Super goodies....mix your red and blue....assign a hot key to Super Restore potions and never want for Hit Points or Magic again....right now I have about 250 Super Restore.....you also get other goodies....charms, equipment to sell or keep...and so on.....hope this is a useful tip....

I like it, looks cool I never have enough money and I'm a mage so I have lots of mana. hehehehe.
BTW what level do you have to be to get it, I think it's quite high and most people want to get this stuff early on.

If you have an item with the Heavens Gift enchantment, it doesn't matter what level you are at..you can equip it and have 1 point in that skill...two items..two points etc......I kept loading and reloading in the shops till I got an item with this goodie....I had a low level skill when I was only a few levels myself....it took patience to get the item with the enchantment...but I was not going to wait till level 24 too get it....I waited the first time I played the game...dumb...knew better the second time...Corrine (spelling) is where I believe I lucked out early in the game....

I never use that skill, for me it is like cheating and i HATE cheating. Just makes this game too easy.

Yeah, it does sortof make the game easier. It costs mana to create objects, but there's no point, since you could just create stuff next to a bed... I mean, you're not gonna use heaven's gift in combat are you?

I guess it is a bit overpowered.

I didn't get it till I was lvl 40, and I changed it. I don't know, it just seems that I'm getting along quite fine without it. And it is pretty useless, because it's at low levels that you need such stuff, where you get that skill at a level that you don't honestly need it. I took it because I was curious, and then I reloaded before getting the level and got another skill instead <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I am with you, Lilliana. I never used it either. There are too many other skills that will help more. And besides, I was finding enough items as it was. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

I could have been very happy not knowing that. "Game over, man! Game over!"

I can see how some folks might look upon Heavens Gift as a "Cheat"..and their reasoning stands up to logic...but for myself....Using "Gift" allows me to get on with the game instead of the tedious other options to get potions.....also I don't like to spend much time in battles, to whatever will give me the edge to get the fighting over with quickly, is o.k. with me....having unlimited potions allows me to go all out with battles..end them fast...and get on with the fun stuff.....keep those ideas coming....nice folks sharing stuff in a pleasant way is what makes this Forum one of the nicest to visit....just remember...different strokes for different folks......a knight of the old code....

I think it really depends on your character's class and how you play them. With my mage I needed potions a lot, with my warrior I rarely used a potion at all.

After playing this game a number of times (I've lost count, but that's more a testamony to abandoned characters rather than any real expertise), I honestly don't know what the problem with minor potions are. They fill you up halfway, and frankly, that's plenty. I don't let my health fall any less than halfway down, and mana is usually around the same point when I suck down a minor restoration potion. You find minor reds and blues all over the place, and a single point in alchemy lets you cobble out as many restorations as you like. Plus, no shortage of vials because you can always buy reds and blues for cheap.

Heaven's Gift comes too late in the game to do much good. Yes, you can sit around and cast it; eventually you'll get a red and blue potion, make a restoration, and continue to cast until out of mana. You'll probably be surrounded in worthless potions and little piles of money. If you're really bored, you can fill up on potions this way, but for just a pittance of money, you could have gone and bought 5-6 minor potions and kept fighting.

Heaven's Gift, even at max level, rarely drops anything but potions, and I can't see that as cheating. You could have just bought the potions, and a lot more easily, I may add.

You will rue the day you opposed me! Begin your rueing! I'll just... sit over here... and watch.

Hi fellow gamer.....I respect your opinion, but I must differ.....Heavens Gift far outweighs Alchemy......even with only one point in the skill, you will get tons of red, blue and so on...empty bottles, a little gold, some minor equipment......I now have three items with the enchantment and two skill points giving me the option of casting level 5.....I have gotten Silver Charms, Super Potions of every kind....some great equipment...lots of gold.....for just a few minutes of casting, now and then, I never want for anything....this really is a lot easier and less time consuming than Alchemy.....also, Heavens Gift is like a roll of the dice.....you never know what real yummy goodie you might get.....and I have gotten quite a few yummy goodies.....so, the fun of casting for goodies and the time saved scrounging for bottles, herb, mushrooms, etc....makes it the way to go for me....

Like you, I started the game several times....this is the only time I used Heavens Gift...I would not play the game without it now....For me, Alchemy is a bit of a pain.....but there is a fun factor associated with finding bottles, looking for muchrooms and so on.....it's just not as entertaining as rolling the dice for Heavens Gift....take care all....a Knight of the Old Code.....

All these posts about Heavens gift made me curious so I tried it for several minutes. I think it is a useless skill point for me. Let's start with gold, well I usually have hundreds of thousands of gold, so no need for more. Next potions, I usually sell them because I find so many in the game. I didn't get a charm through heavens gift, but got many through fighting, so I can really not see how heavens gift can help me, but that is only my oppinion

for me heaven`s gift at level 1 occasionally drops some charms. the idea of casting the spell and getting surprise items is worth it. Some excitement is always welcome in a game!!!!!!!!!!
