We've noticed that certain people on this forum like impersonating Bellegar. Since he's plagued by writer's block, now's you chance to finish one of his poems:

"Hail my friends, it’s Bellegar!
Ready for a tale bizarre?
Met a girl out on the hunt
..."

How would you finish this poem?

"...bested by the litter's runt!"

(It's hard to come up with these without having a clue about the context.)

I guess there is no context yet, and finishing the poem doesn't necessarily mean it's a four-liner ...

"Hail my friends, it’s Bellegar!
Ready for a tale bizarre?
Met a girl out on the hunt
As she pulled a crazy stunt:
Aimed her bow up at the sky,
Shot an arrow flying high,
Followed it into the air,
Like a flash she showed up there.
Then she broke her body’s tethers,
Quickly sprouted beak and feathers,
Chirped a tune of endless wonder;
Marvels happened over yonder.
Every man and creature gazed
At the bird-girl, fast amazed.
Suddenly, a deer dropped dead
And the other wildlife fled.
Its attention was refracted,
It was shot at while distracted,
Danger closed it couldn’t feel
And the huntress had her meal.
Cause of awe and short confusion
Was a masterful illusion.
Isn’t that a tale bizarre?
Yours sincerely, Bellegar."

Bellegar could secretly pull a trick while he's apparently just telling this tale wink

You shouldn't have submitted that yet. Now no one has the spirit to have another try anymore. Except perhaps ... You-know-who ... J*r*m

Awesome, Lurker!
Worthy of Bellegar himself!

Lurker did a good job, congratulations Lurker up !

Well, let's do a try wink

Hail my friends, it's Bellegar!
Ready for a tale bizarre?
Met a girl out on the hunt
Who gaves me a strange hint:
"Shoot with a curved spear
And you kill more deer
At the same time ".
How can this rhyme ?
Bellegar did not understood,
It's too bizarre for his mood !

"Hail my friends, it’s Bellegar!
Ready for a tale bizarre?
Met a girl out on the hunt
As I was aiming to confront
The one person who refused to go along
With the games I'd set up in Rivellon
For that he dragon slayer, dragon knight
deserved to be punished right?
But this girl, an elf, got my attention
For she I will now mention
Had drawn runes on the forest ground
Several in fact, spread all around
As I was trying to keep up pace
Could suddenly not leave that place
Had unknowingly stept on a circular sign
Feeled now a spell on those feet of mine
Bound they were! and though I tried
Didn't manage to get untied!
Can you imagine, Bellegar the greatest mage,
For the first time filled by wonder, rage?!
My magic tricks were failing me
How could it be I did not see
That the she-elf now watching me
Was in fact another mage in disguise
Her true appearance covered by magic lies?
I had no other choice but ask
who was that girl behind the mask
And then she answered to my request
Smiling, her arms on her chest
Who has power that can trap the great Bellegar
Whose existence was secret to him so far
And yet kept no hostilities
To his own favorite capabilities
Surprising travelers on their quest
And leave them be up so hilariously messed?
Impossible! I yelled so loud
Certain I am, with no doubt
There's no chance on such another mighty freak
In the whole of Rivellon I stand unique
I have the answer that I seek!
Just let me have another peak
This might be the spell to break out of here
To finally leave this cursed magical sphere
One wave of my hand, a flash, a shine
And back I was, quart an hour through time
The girl the runes nowhere to be found
Once more I stood safe and sound
Quickly around the place I ran
To prepare the greatest joke by men
The runes once more drawn
I quickly took the young woman's form
And so it came to be that as an elf
I finally managed to suprise myself!"
