Is there any fix for missing NPCs? Gareth and a lot of peoples in poor area is dead(at least gone), also I have sold the special wine that is needed to summon a deamon... I would be very glad if someone could help me with this, most important to me is to summon a deamon... I've searched the fix for missing items but it isnt there...

Rimmer discovered a way to get someone back temporarily by swapping data files in the saved game folder. The post is quoted as a reference in the imp council member quest post (link above), and described in the catacombs portal fix and Josephine herself stuck in the wall. Since you have to restore your original data file, any experience from completed quests etc. will be lost.

You should be able to substitute a different kind of wine for Corinna.

you don't need this special wine anyway, it's just a payment for a plant from her garden. go pick up the plant and she will learn you to summon a demon.:)

Has anyone here ever had a problem doing the Dwarf quest ( council of 7 ). I start the quest, talk with the guy in front of the stone axe shrine, then I talk to the elf in the cellar ( prison ) then I talk with the mayor then the elf then the mayor, and from what I have read and heard I am supposed to buy some dwarven ale from Rimmer and offer it to him so that he will tell me that he is in on the elf and axe thing and a password for the mines. In my save he does not take the dwarven ale from me which means that I cannot finish the quest, which then leads to me not finishing my game. Anyone know what I should do and how I should do it to fix my problem?

Welcome to the forum

I don't know how to fix this problem but you can finish the quest anyway.
When you will meet the sentry in the mines just kill it.
You don't really need the password and you will get XP points. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/XmasJump.gif" alt="" />

Some people have had problems with this part of the quest. It may help to make sure you have no other alcohol in your inventory when you talk to the mayor.

Like Barta said, though, you get more experience fighting the guardian than using the password (and it is an easy fight). Just head to the mines in the Dwarven Halls.

Hi, folks

since links in original post are in old format, I thought this link could be useful:

http://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=userposts&id=57&view=started&page=3

sorry if I am pointing out obvious, but it took me some time to figure out, so hope it helps smile

Best regards,
Bordel

The forum is suppose to be updated so the links are redirected properly, but I'm not sure when that will be. In the meantime, maybe I'll go through and manually update these links this weekend...

Hmm, I just had a quick look at updating the URLs but it seems that the post numbering was changed at some point. Though I may just be doing it wrong, which wouldn't exactly be a first for me!
