Hello,

I have joined the thieves guild, I got the quest to find penumbra but I don't know where to search. I have razed the thieves guild (and killed them all) but I haven't found miss P. Did I miss something? I have also read things about her dagger but I have no clue what this is all about...

thx,

H.

At the far eastern section of the thieve's guild (aka the dungeon under the ducal inn) are two doors, one to the north and one to the east. And there is a guy standing guard there, whom you can talk to and say some stupid things. He is guarding Penumbra which is locked up to the north. There is a key I believe, if I am not mistaken, to the door lying somewhere close to this guy. Just hit alt and check. But if you unlock the door he'll come at you. You have to make him leave for pee and then free her.

I don't know what happens if all of the thieves are killed. This map shows where you should find Miss P. Hope it helps! [Linked Image]

You have to be a member of the thieves guild, then you can enter.
Rob upstairs has 2 little quests for you, then you're a thief <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Yeah being a theif, which I don't want to be DOH. Well I am at the first test, but I can't get the flippin necklace off sweeney, any ideas how to do this???

Another thing, having difficulty beating all the mummies in the Holy Grail quest, any ideas on how to defeat them or the quest?

Thanx Phoenen <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" />

Pickpocket skill lvl 1, do you have it?
If so, activate it in your skill icon like a spell. Stand next to Sweeny,
1. right click, the cursor should change into a pouch,
2. left click on him - an inventory should open:
Take out the necklace.

You need Pickpocket level 1 to get the necklace.

If you move the grail closer to the door a few times no one will bat an eye until you pick it up and step out; you can return later when you are stronger. Alternatively, you can grab the grail and run to the back of the room. Only 2 or 3 should be able to keep up to you; then you can slowly move forward again to take them out a couple at a time.

I have the same "problem" - I found the entrance from the sewers, but the door won't unlock even with Level 4 lockpicks.

I don't want to waste a skill point on Pickpocket, besides having no desire to join the Theives.

There is no such key near the dweeb and no option to make him "go for a pee" (actually, it sounds like you made that up <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> )

Any help appreciated.

No, sorry, it is true. If you have the quest to free Penumbra, you can leave the door to the east and the thief guard will go (to pee).
Kiya

But no entry via sewers possible. There is a lever on the other side...

You can buy rings or amulets with a bonus to Pickpocket, but if you don't want to join the thieves' guild just skip the quests that required access (Corinna's summoning, holy items). If you have not joined the guild, how do you know there is no key there?

I really believe there must be an *alternate* way to do this - since the whole of Verdistis sewers opens into various buildings. For example:

I was able to free the little girl's cat before joining the Merchant's Guild (contrary to Val's Quest Guide) by entering the guild basement through the sewers.

I know there is no key because I can enter the first room of the thief basement through the Inn's trapdoor.

So: I am quite sure there must be another way to free Penumbra - some of us want nothing to do with the Thief's guild and I find it hard to believe the Larians haven't thought of that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

I once read a post about a gamer killing Finnegan and then having the key, to the thieves guild, but I can't confirm it, sorry.

Tried that already <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

Nope, no key. A silly potion and a few gold pieces. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

Well, if you join the thieves guild you get as a reward an extra skillpoint in lockpicking or pickpocketting. So you actually "loose" one skillpoint but you immediatly win one back. If you want to be holier than the pope then I don't think you can solve this quest.

BTW : I confused the assasins-guild with the thieves guild so that was why I never found Penumbra (I was in the wrong dungeons).

And as a last remark : it is really worth it to free this little lady if you like a good spanking from time to time :-))

Other option to get out of that grail dungeon, keep the teleporter stone in your backpack then teleport out, you can always get back later.

Well looks like I have to buy something that has pickpocket because I ain't going to try to find some enemies as many of them are killed, hehehhe. Oh if anyone noticed, I finally got back the teleporter stones, oh how much I miss them. Those beautiful and useful little mini-pyramids.

Later Phoenen

It´s worth to free this Lady, cause i enjoyed her special works on my body. I spend very very much time with her. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />
Except when i´m with the little-elven lady in the wood. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

if practice makes perfect but no ones perfect then why even bother?
