i cant get into the castle through the sewers i get as far as a guard after killing the executioner and cant get any further what am i doing wrong?

You are simply in the wrong place. You don't have to kill the exec, the entrance is in the middle of Ars Magicana sewers (or near the middle)

The entrance to the castle if you have the quest to free Zandalor: Caution = NO magic allowed in there, supply yourself with potions.

i've been in stormfist castle and was kicked out, can i still get the shield by going trough the prison? cuz i'm stuck there to...

Nope, the door to upstairs is unpickable

You can however toss a teleporter stone through the gate and teleport yourself in that way.
