My friend and I both have the game. I installed it via Steam the day it came out, and it says i have 1.0.27.0. My friend just installed it via Steam today and has 1.0.20.0.

We can't connect to each other on multiplayer because it says the Lobby is Full, and on other occasions it states the versions are different.

Any idea why we both would have different versions?

Larian rolled back the 1.0.27 update (see here). Try verifying local files for the game, and see if that 'updates' you to 1.0.20.
