Hi all,

We originally thought that we'd manage to release an update last week, but I'm afraid we've done so much changes that we'll only be able to release it this week. But it is coming!

In the new update you can expect improved AI, the inclusion of repair, identify & and lockpicking, a new loading system which lays the groundwork for much improved loading times, a much needed (detailed) preview system showing you where projectiles will go, more sound & music and a ton of bug fixes & balancing changes.

In addition, 18 status states have been added as well a number of new death types. Some of the game rules have also been modified to take into account the feedback we've been receiving, and you'll also notice that we included quite a few of your suggestions in various areas of the game.

We also improved performance on low end systems, added a lot of polish and a lot of detail has been added to the world.

This should also be the last update in which the eastern part of Cyseal is locked, so expect that to unlock soon, though it won't be in this update.

Apologies for the delay but we're making massive progress on the game, not only in the areas that you've been playing, but also in the areas that come after that.

if you're not afraid of a few spoilers, you can get a preview of what that looks like in one of the following videos:

IGN

Gamespot

Rock Paper Shotgun

Our target is to release the new update latest by this friday, sooner if possible.

The editor is in principle ready to go but the best people who can support it & offer insights are the devs that are using it every day and as long as they're not finished with their tasks, it doesn't make sense to release it, especially since we also still have a truckload of work on the documentation of the thing.

Hurray! Huzzah! I look forward to the lockpicking, even though I tend to just burn the doors down.

Yay, thanks for the news! And thanks for the update about the editor - as a tech writer, I appreciate you realising the importance of documentation wink

In that case, they can release the toolset to you and me. I'll happily play around with it sans documentation, feed you what I learn, and you can give them a head start on it!

The community is here for you, Larian! horsey

A small issue, but one that is important nonetheless, I hope you guys will be including an hours played tracker eventually into the game; before release.
