Is it me or does there seem to be a shortage of cool and interesting Ranger skills? Warriors and Magic users get all sorts of options for attacks, so why can't rangers get traps to set and animals to summon, etc. Sure they have different arrow types, but anyone with a bow skill can use those also.
Am I missing something? I've yet to see a good guide for these skills, but I have seen lists floating around and I'm a bit disappointed in the selection.
Making use of the various (and numerous) arrows greatly enhances the Ranger. I think that's the reason there are only 2(?) "attack" based Ranger skills.
Oh and Barrage cannot be purchased from vendors, you have to find it in game (not random though, always spawns in a certain location).
Ricochet, Barrage, Arrow Spray, Distant Mute (skill + arrow), Distant Charm (skill + arrow) ... I wouldn't say that the ranger is lacking interresting skills, far from it ...
Try to play Scoundrel and you will understand your pain
No DualWield, a Ranger who is just an Archer? 'Ranger' means who can go far, not who fight from far. Good one-hand swords and daggers are lighter than a good shield, that's why Dual Wield can be needed for who wants to travel with not too heavy weigh.
