There are numerous references to many games and franchises in the game... wink

On top of that I don't think Larian needs any license. They have enough creativity to come up with their own stuff.

But LordCrash, why do you crush my dreams? It's called bias sampling and I'm sticking to it.

Of course you're right -- there's also a HUGE Chrono Trigger reference (or rip?). But I doubt they'll pursue that license smile

Ooh, Dragonlance. Its been a while since a decent D&D CRPG was put out. I think the last one was Neverwinter Nights 2 (and its expansion packs). D:OS is a fine game, but NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer was magnificent, and in my opinion the best CRPG I've ever played. Of course I never really played Torment or Baldur's Gate (Bioware's, not Snowblind's).

Terry Pratchett's Discworld would make for an awesome Larian RPG.. I can really see their type of humor fitting right in.

Oh Yeah they could make a good Pratchett game, they have the humor.
Only downside on that is that whenever you are choosing such an iconic IP the die hard fans usually get up in arms about it or have expectations through the roof.

Although I do think it's good for Larian to get out of it's comfort zone and so something new outside of the Divinity universe.

I do hope though they stay in the fantasy realm.

I don't see why they shouldn't stay in the Divinity Universe. They try to have rich universes, and this one is fairly well developed. I'd rather they put effort into gameplay and story rather than have to spend time creating a new universe.

Of course, if the universe is already made up for them, I see no issues.

I couldnt back them, but made up for it buying the CE.
I really hope these guys do well. I also hope they use KS in the future, just because of the results there were. (I now have ï½£60 saved away for any future kickstarters)

Div OS is one of those games you can tell the devs put their soul into. They also look like they have fun making games if the youtube vids are anything to go buy. So I really hope they are rewarded for their effors.

Oh and this game would also help prove KS is a good toolfor certain devs after Schafer messed up. Nice we can see the amazing possibilities.

As the game came out as a masterpiece, maybe they can port it to consoles? This should generate at least few hndred thousands of addtional sales. Remaking the inventory and other GUI tricky parts to fit consoles shouldn`t be so much of a problem.

Yep, the first multi-million-dollar-budget RPG that you can say that for in a very long time.
