Are there any single handed weapons with decent stats other than the holy sword? I love my sword of Chaos but have found some really amazing shields and would like to use one... The problem is I have -never- seen a one hander with damage higher than 60 or so which seems absurd to try to use against some of the hard mode bosses with their super high hitpoints. Seems a bit of a waste to me to have two handers so overpowered (or single handers underpowered?). Anyhow I have not been past the main map (ie to dark forest or the other city) is there any hope there? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

well,there is god's sword but you get it much later <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />
but you don't need supersword to kill the bosses,an avarage one will do if it has frost(3 or more) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Yes, there are better one handed swords.Just keep checking both blacksmiths and his helper, plus the other shop keepers.Thier inventories are changed every now and again.

The best single-handed sword type I've seen is the Bastard Sword. The one I bought has Life Drain (3), which is great against armies (you end up with more hit-points than you started), but so-so against bosses.

Are there any naturally better than a Bastard Sword?

Most bastard swords are one handed; the one from the knight south of Stormfist castle is two handed.

Where is the god's sword?
Is it better than the singing blade, or the chaos sword?

It is in the wastelands, at the end of the game (after you hit the gong, a one-way trip). It is potentially the best one-handed sword in the game, but stats are random.

I have hit the gong, and am in the Black Ring dungeon, i missed the sword. Where exactly can i find it?

Well, i'm saving and reloading my ass of to get decent stats on the Holy Sword and OMG I have created some beauties. I now have a one-hander with 70-100 dmg, life drain, fire dmg, spiritual dmg, lightning dmg and Charm 3 plus some extra's on vitality, magic and the primal stats. If it would have had frost it would have been truly awesome. Just to say : one handers can have more than the clasic 21-50 damage. Nothing beats a two-hander with frost however but indeed, some schields are too cool te resist.

East south east of the town in the wastelands there are three houses close together (and a couple other houses); the Sword of the Gods is in a cupboard in the southern (IIRC) of the three houses.
