I went to the gardens, had the book, and answered the statue's questions. I THOUGHT I did it right, but he said wrong and zapped me. Doesn't let me try again. I re-read the book, and I'm still sure I answered right??? Do I need to go back to an earlier save and try again? No biggie, I saved just as I went in.

And what's with the frogs???

Yes, you have to re-load to try answering the questions again.
Unlike other frogs, the ones in the garden can be targeted and attacked.....

You have to attack them with a spell though because they're in the middle of the pond.
Yeah me too I thought there'd be some baddies or something, or maybe a weapon.

well...so long and thanks for all the info

I could target and kill frogs in the river (by Aleroth) too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I can't even enter Nericons Garden.
I have bought the key from Blake the merchant, and I have spoken to the 3 guys standing below the garden. I also have the book 'Path of life' or something, but I can't open the gate.
I just get the message that 'the gate is locked tighter than a dwarf's ale purse'.
Is there a bug in my game (I have patched it to 1.32) or is there something else I have to do before entering the garden?

Please help me someone...

There is a known bug if you used that key on the graveyardgate before the gardens. It seems to be broken then. I personnaly dont know a solution for it sorry.

Maybe you don't have the key, maybe you opened Graveyard with it (like joliekiller said).
Try this:
LOST ITEMS -Guide and Directory of Inventory Files
to get your key back.

Thanks for the link to the lost item guide.
It probably is a bug like you say.
Too bad this hasn't been fixed in a patch already.
I don't like to pay a lot of money for a game and then have serious
problems with it.
It's stupid to have to spend much time and effort on workarounds.

if u still have trouble with the questions, the answers are...
experience
truth and untruth
good, evil and neutrality
hope that helps out <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I opened the gate to Nericon's Garden early in the game, but coudn't figure out how to access the treasure so I went and did other things.

I'm back at the Gardens now, and have killed the frogs and walked through the portal. BUT - I don't have the key to access the treasure room!

*sigh*

There are alot of boxes on the northeast side. Remove them and you'll see a lever. Pull it and the door will open. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's not really a serious problem, as the garden is only a side quest and has no relevance to the main plot whatsoever.

It's a minor annoyance at best, IMO.

No, at it's best, it's gold and a handful of experience.
