I'm also getting the save game load failure... Which sucks because last night I started from an autosave instead of my last save losing a good 45 minutes. I could not load my last saved game as it would crash the program before I could even play after updating.
Now I wake up after committing 2 hours more to the game last night, to find another patch, yaaaay... Now I get the same error as OP from loading my autosave...
This is ridiculous, if you cannot patch the game properly without screwing up people's invested time, don't. Honestly this is a wicked game, but as if dying in game without saving isn't enough(now you cannot save), having the dev team screwing it up further with every patch they release... Is a bit much.
