Hey guys,

My apologies for what is undoubtedly a very simple question in advance. I'm actually quite new to the modding scene (big surprise there) and have been experimenting with the Divinity Engine for some time. I've made myself a little map containing several houses, but while I'm able to set up pretty much everything (walls, roofs, furniture, etc.), I haven't been able to discover how to add floors to the houses.

The circular tool for "painting" is useful, but hardly effective when trying to add something constrained by walls. So, my question is: what is the best way to add floors in the Divinity Engine?

Cheers!

Paint tool but use it small in the corners is how I've done it.

The actual terrain texture is square, so if you use a small size, it should work.

Yup. I have added floors via the terrain as well and just painted a floor layer inside the houses.

Thank you guys for responding. I'll just have to be extra careful in those corners, then. laugh

A small tip: If a corner doesn't fill well (the floor being not exactly in line with the house), you can either box select the entire house with its content and move it so that it matches with the outlines of the floor, or you place non-movable objects on the borders that don't want to get painted to mask it. wink

There are also floor tiles available as placable objects. Make them "walkable".

Edit:
Its called "1m_Stonewall_A_Floortile_A"
or just search "floor"

There's also a wood floor tile.

Also the material resources come out huge for the paint tool, making it not an option.
