I have seen people banned from those invasions before. Ask Stumpy, MadJack, Squee, Ur-Draco, and Rich ( to name a few). They all got banned from PlanetDiablo for less, and who knows how many of their members got banned from here. There is always someone who takes umbrage to those things. And I would rather be thought a mean hairtriggered mod for stopping it than seeing people getting banned because I didn't. As usual, the actions of a few have spoiled it for the rest.

And there are hundreds of topics currently open on R&R now. I know perfectly well that I haven't closed or deleted that many there, but I am not going to do the job halfway. People want those trolls threads( Outwar posters mostly), spammer threads ( the ones who show up with "You are all stupid" threads) and the flamer threads ( "Your[insert country name here] is [insert random flame here].) taken care of right away. And usually they are. But the job also calls for us to take care of innuendo that isn't appropriate for younger posters. This is what Cobby asked of us and that is what we try to do. It isn't PlanetNeverwinter, and it is far from it. I have accepted that people are not going to always agree with what we close. But all those are parts of out modding there and they have to take the good with the bad. There are hundreds of registered users and countless board guests that come here every day. It is an open forum. We want it to be fun, but it has to be as fun for the 12 year old girl board guest as is it the 40 year old forum vet. It isn't an easy balance to keep. We have to rely on the older and wiser members to understand this even if they don't like it.

And we mods get a parking space a whole row closer to the building than normal posters. We get first dibs on the doughnuts and the first cups of coffee. We were supposed to get a seperate washroom but all we have gotten so far is a bottle of Evain each, a novelty towel from Six Flags, and package of Swan shaped soap ( although Mickey stole mine from me, the guy likes Swans, I guess).
