Now, I'm sure like many people I came across the tenebrium handle book without really knowing what it did nor that it would be the only one. So, I had my mage read it because....why not? Well I find myself as a lvl 19 group and the only one who doesnt ALWAYS get rot when handling tenebrium or a tenebrium based weapon is the mage who cannot use any of the weapons due to low points in strength and dex. The other characters have 90% resistance but still get rot just from holding weapons in the backpack.

...........why? Why do this? I've come across certain quests that require me to use tenebrium weapons to destroy certain things. Now I'm stuck. Seems a really poor design decision. Was there a warning in game that I missed? Was I supposed to assume or somehow magically know this was the case? Are we supposed to look online for spoilers?

Help smile

yes, a *major* tenebrium quest is handled as a sub-quest which you can actually refuse to take on. it's very poor quest/narrative design.
complete the quest, everyone in the party will get a free tenebrium skill point...

the quest is hard to miss though, in Luculla village. talk to everyone who has a name, you'll stumble upon it~
