I was playing at the beginning and I can't figure out how to block with my shield....there's no option for it in the controls either...what am I doing wrong?

There is no active blocking in the game.

actually there so many benefit from use shield although that shield can't block attack, larian already make this game really balance and fun especially with DKS

not only to boost up your stat but it can use to boost up your resist melee/magic/range or maybe you can use it to boost up your mana/health
