i have heard good stuff and bad stuuff about Arcanum, what have you to say about it ?

Alright, I'll sum it:

Bad things:
- Outdated Graphics
- Sometimes repetitive dungeons
- Sometimes repetitive music (maybe because I played through Arcanum 4 times? It's a nice violin background but it's sometimes annoying)
- A bit unbalanced firearms (some fan-made mods fix it)

Good things:
- Excellent storyline with several path and 2 endings.
- Great stat and skill system:
> Chose between Magic, Technology or both
> Interesting opposition between magic and tech, EXAMPLE: If you're a high level mage with a magic aptitude of 80 and you fight a weak technologist of technological aptitude of 12, your spells can damage him but he has penalities while firing his gun. If you're of about same aptitude, the combat is normal.
> Class-less system with many different skills (apart from magic and tech)
> 80 Magic spells in 16 colleges of magic
> 120 scematics to learn and more to find (I had a plasma rifle once with a healer robot-spider.)
- Good interaction. Even if you can't move stuff arround like in DD, you can sometimes bypass combat and recieve XP for talking out of the situation.
- Many interesting items.
- The rare game in which you won't get penalized for playing evil
- Arcanum comes with a level and script editor, has a couple of fan-made mods, has the possibility of creating your own modules. Moreover, Arcanum comes with the "Vormattown" module and troika made 6 others. There are a couple of fan-made too.
- Multiplayer

That's it.
See, Mandrake? ;0).
